This was such an excellent intro video! I have been wet and needle felting for several years and just watched this video while I was working on a project. Even though I’ve been doing this for quite a while, I still learned something and found your manner of presentation just excellent. Thank you so much!
MY GRANDSON BOUGHT ME 3 SMALL FELTING KITSfor christmas had no idea what to do with them so your vid is brilliant to let me know what l need to get started as l know he will be very disappointed if l dont use them thankyou again very clear and easy to understand
All I can say is “thank you so much,” I’ve been wanting to needle-felt for some years now but have always held back for some unknown reason even though I’ve crafted all my life with many different mediums and also have a degree in Art and Design! I have no idea why I’ve felt so scared of this BUT I’ve just watched your video and you’ve installed the confidence in me I needed! I think my lack of confidence is down to me being out of work for so long due to serious health issues, which has been so difficult at times. So I’m now going on an Ebay shopping spree to buy everything I need, I can’t wait to get started and it’s all down to your amazingly clear, confidence boosting video, so thank you so so much. You have no idea how good I feel about starting new and exciting projects in the future. You’ve definitely got another follower in me x
This video is fantastic, it’s all very clear, I go to the store tomorrow to buy everything to start and now I kind of know where to look for :) thank you
Hi,I liked your video for its concise instructions on what to get and how to use everything! I am just beginning, ans as a painter,I am impressed that you included Info on prepping for flat work. Thank you so much.!
Thank you for the video! I started recently due to a spinner friend bringing in her wool and needles and letting us try...I was totally hooked. I will be following your videos!
Thank you for the very helpful video. I bought two kits from you. The Hare and the Cat. I haven't made them yet, wanted to get a little bit more info before I begin.
Hi there. Thank you so much for your very helpful video. I recently bought a kit and it contains a short piece of cylindrical nylon solid tube. Can you tell me what this would be for? I don't know how to use it? Thanks
Hi Judith! I'm afraid I'm not sure that this might be and we don't use anything like that in our kits. Without a picture, I unfortunately can't help but do feel free to email me at info @ hawthornhandmade.co.uk. Best wishes, Stephanie
this video was helpful! i really want to start needle felting, but i was wondering, can i use stuffing (the ones from pillows and stuffed animals) instead of wool? will it work the same?
little miss pet, yes you can use pillow/teddy stuffing in the same way with the felting needles. You can use it as the base and then add wool for fur after if you want, or just dye the stuffing the way you want it. I made a teddy this way years ago.
Hi there! Loved this informative video! I am new to the world of needle felting and I purchased a starter kit and it came with a wheel of various colored pins and no instructions. Do you happen to know what these are for? I've used similar ones in the past for sewing projects. Thank you in advance for any insight you can provide!
I was here i feel bad that no ones replied and you probably already know, but i like to use my 3 needle for things such as circles, and flat surfaces, as it is faster for me, and then use a single needle for smaller details. i wouldnt get a 7 needle unless you plan on doing big things, and its pretty expensive (for australia) with them being $43 for a 7 needle tool. i cant believe i got a 7 needle tool. i feel bad for myself
