The 20m Band is a popular choice for operators chasing DX, Radio Oddities takes a look at why this is the go-to band for year round operation and what you can expect to find and where.
Greetings to you from the lads of 1977 AM Keep those videos coming! I don`t often venture onto the higher bands, but I don`t mind the 18mhz band because its not so busy and a little more relaxed, not to mention no contesting!
@@RadioOddities I will send you further details of my AM gear by email if you would like. All my gear is home constructed both AM and SSB. My main interest is AM because it seems to encourage experimentation rather than just black box operation. Most of my AM transmitters used class E or class D rf decks and the audio is put on the carrier using a pulse width modulator. This scheme can achieve a very high efficiency and great sounding AM modulation.
