Marc, I have a lot of respect for you taking the self-publishing route. It seems building an online platform with regular viewers and bypassing the big publishers is the way to get your work out these days. This is the way that fresh ideas can avoid getting roadblocked by the elite.
Alright I gotta admit that I first went to the link for the print copy of the book if I had been taking a drink of something I would've ruined my laptop. Think for now I'll have to settle for the e-book copy much as I loathe the medium as I prefer the tactile joys of actual printed books. I only came across your channel late last year and immediately binge watched all your videos as it was absolutely fascinating to hear someone echoing much of my own thoughts and theories regarding the ebb and flow of history. So be assured as soon as I'm able I will be purchasing the ebook copy of your book and will spend the day devouring it's contents and then doing a second slower pass over a weekend, cheers.
Congratulations on this milestone achievement! I came across your channel years ago when I took a course on North-African dynastie’ rise and fall from an Ibn-Khaldun starting point and started to think more theoretically about cycles in North Africa and the broader world. All your video’s have intrigued me a lot and I am definitely picking up this book. It looks very promising and stimulating. I am curious how I could learn and apply concepts and approaches in the book to North-Africa and perhaps with some consistent effort in the long term, could contribute with new data to this fascinating field. This is fantastic! Good call on going unpublished - I'm going down the same route myself. I enjoyed your unpublished book enough to write a Masters thesis on it so I'm really excited to read this. I'll be pre-ordering a physical copy immediately.
I recently received my copy of the book and I can say it represents a significant achievement. My background is mathematical rather than historical, but I hope that academic historians will begin to take this approach seriously. It is far from light reading and I fear that there will be few historians or students of the Humanities in general who have a sufficient mathematical background to understand it; University curricula have been woefully inadequate for a long time and only seem to be getting worse. If salvaging academia is in any sense possible, this effort can be part of the impetus for initiating the necessary change. The book was obviously a result of years of effort and the author is to be congratulated.

I find this field of research interesting and will certainly purchase your work. It does however bring to mind a quote by French philosopher Michel Serres, "In whose interest is it to lay down a law of history if not in the interest of whoever wishes to stop time? Of course it is in the best interests of whoever pursues power in economics, politics, or philosophy to close off genesis...."
Thank you for that insight. Our would-be technocratic masters might indeed love laws of history that could let them better manipulate and control us while achieving their dream of a stagnant, managed 'sustainability'. I see my mission as being to democratise understanding of historical processes so we can better recognise their methods and the weaknesses of their objectives.
I have tried to cater for both shades of opinion..! My experience suggests that books with technical content come out formatted awkwardly on Kindle and so the ebook is a PDF, which has exactly the same layout as the print version.
@@DarkAgeTheorist I prefer PDF to other formats. It allows the reader to bookmark, highlight, and much more. It opens the problem for the author of someone buying it and copying it for others, but I doubt your viewers/readers would do that.

No. The Amazon and Lulu versions will be exactly the same. The only differences are (1) that Amazon takes a bigger cut and (2) it's not possible to offer an ebook on Amazon (Amazon doesn't sell PDFs and a Kindle version would be unreadable). Nevertheless, I know people might prefer to buy from Amazon, and it is going through their review process, which takes a few weeks. I'll put the link as soon as I have it.
