Thank you Wesley. Indeed we were all pretty much bang on, given a few seconds, as you saw on the video. Hope you continue to enjoy and share the videos on this channel.
Great video, Donato. This is such a lovely thing to do, pacing others is the ultimate payback to the sport. I've done it twice and found it incredibly inspiring. Well done. I hope every runner in Birminghaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam appreciates you. I wouldn't have made it past Carbury's factory. 👍 👍
Great to meet you too Stephen. It was an absolute blast and hope you enjoy this video at least half as much as i did pacing the race! What is your next event?
Great video matey and I save that ... You even caught my mum and my wife's grandparents on camera cheering everyone on at Cadbury's 😀. I was the chap running past ya wearing the BHF vest saying hello 😀 good stuff and well done to you 👏
@@PoetWithPace I started running last August and yesterday was my first half marathon race matey .. Finish time 1:37:55.. I can't wait to do it all over again next year 😀
@@PoetWithPace I would like to run a half marathon on Remembrance weekend for my dad's grandad who fought in World War One ... I have bookmark the Solihull, Kenilworth and Hertfordshire half marathon as my next races 😀
Nice video, I always think being a marshall or a drink station helper is a fun thing to do. Being a pacer is great as well., even better! I did seem to notice you often were running on your own a lot? I expected to see a small crowd behind you staying pace for a lot of the run?
It was such fun Richard! Indeed most were with me till we hit the hills. I have to finish at a specific time, so have to keep a specific pace. Most who were with me at start and first 10k pushed on ahead for new personal bests, which is often best strategy. Start slow and finish strong. Make sense?
Another wonderful video Donato! Fully engaged and entertained throughout. Whoever did the tunes on your boombox did a great job! How close to 1:50 were you?
This looked so much fun! I love pacing at parkrun and although the challenge is for runners to keep up with me, I like to see what’s the lowest number bib I can safely offer to wear. Did you not get any copyright problems?
Oh Rachel, the video doesn't show how much fun we all had. Shame i couldn't record all the times as my arms would have fallen off, but we all had such a blast along the way. Yes, lots of copyright issues, but hey ho!
wow. we ran the same race again. except i didnt make it in time for the orange wave so started a bit later. Totally right on the toilets, i could have run a 10k in the time it took for me to get there.
@@PoetWithPace the next booked one is Birmingham and black country half along the canal in July (my night run route). But I'm seriously considering the 5k flip flop race in June on Worthing Beach.
