@dougpwilson6663 The railroad sure loves the newer (to them at least 1965 vs. the 1964 AA geeps) SD35 units, though. The old GP35's are becoming a rarer sight. Methinks they just want more power for the Osmer/Ann Arbor run (the one I see) that the old road units can't deliver as older 4 axle units, so they do the northern runs mostly. I'm worried too, because the 389 scrapping was a tragedy. I don't want it to happen again. Those units represent more than just locomotives to state history.
Fantastic. It is so odd if you slow it down just a bit this would be what most of the Bells sound like in the city of Milwaukee at the lift bridges over the rivers. Great consist of Motive Power and cars so thanks for sharing
@paulbergen9114 Thanks for watching! The solid consists of 1964 year GP35 units have mostly faded from existence. They would much rather slap their 1965 SD35 units to it, an SD40-2 or another later model unit. None are under 50 years old, and I guess the SD35's are pretty rare, but they get old when they are all you see.
@paulbergen9114 Sorry for the separate replies, but yeah, the bell combo is pretty sweet. One is definitely a 1950s crossing, and the other is less than 30 years old. Fiber wiring is in no short supply in the lineside cabinets along with 50's plug relays. The batteries and chargers are the newest stuff. The circular mechanical bells remind me of every bridge I've been to and the teardrop I never see anywhere but railroads. If the bridges are old, I wouldn't be surprised if they have teardrop bells too, though.
