Aew has a ton of these technical wrestlers now. Makes some sense if they are focusing more on in-ring wrestling than storyline building. Also evident with the amount of stables/tag teams they have. The sheer number of singles matches, otherwise, just won't be feasible with the amount of talent they have.

Hell of War was my favourite match in all of Lucha Underground. These two are absolute magic in the ring together. Since I'm sure Tony Khan is a huge fan of LU (look how much of the roster he's employed) I'm sure he was dreaming of being able to put this rematch on TV ever since he first managed to get Swerve.

They never seemed to find their identity, half the time they promoted being death match style, but most of their matches were a random mix of either comedy, basic tables matches, lucha style aerial contests, or just mind numbingly long promos filled with profanity or cheezy attempts at more comedy. A lot of people did get their early experience there though: AR Fox, Shane/Swerve Strickland, MJF, John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Blade/Pepper Parks and Bunny/Cherry Bomb, Joe Gacy, Nick Gage, Ricochet Ethan Page, Brodie Lee, Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston, John Moxley.

I watched it back. When swerve hit the reversal and the ref counted it was a three count. I played it back at .25 speed. Go to 0:54 and play back at .25 speed.

Does anyone here remember how intense Swerve Strickland (f.k.a. Killshot) and Dante/A.R. Fox’s rivalry was on Lucha Underground season III, besides me? Pepperidge Farm remembers. 😂 This was one of my favorite feuds on the whole show besides Rey Fénix vs Mil Muertes…and now I’m glad that AEW fans got a taste of what it should look like on Dynamite, if Tony Khan were to find a way to reinvigorate it going forward (which I hope he does).

Only thing I see wrong with fox is he seems to take too much time setting up his moves a lot of times. He is innovative and does some crazy shizzle. They both have incredible moves and personally would love to see swerve embarrassed by fox and/or them as a tag team.

Lucha Underground REPRESENT! Don't you know that Dario Cueto loves violence?? Was a fun little show, wasn't quite right when they moved the temple and 'killed off' Dario though, exposed me to a lot of talents such as Ricochet (Prince Puma), Santos Escobar (King Cuerno), Taya Valkyrie, Rey Horus (El Dragon Azteca Jr), Penta, Fénix, Mil Muertes, Thunder Rosa (Kobra Moon), Jeff Cobb (Matanza Cuerto) etc. Rey, Johnny Mundo, and Brian Cage did some good work there too. Those were the days, technically Hager's still their world champion too, good match here though but that's not surprising
