In this video, I go over my initial thoughts and do an on the water review of my new Wilderness Systems Recon 120 HD fishing kayak! I also highlight some of my favorite features and what I think is going to make this kayak so fishable. Just found your channel. I have ordered the exact same kayak that is scheduled to be delivered this weekend. I have been researching kayaks for months and watched tons of videos, but your recent video on the unboxing and setup of the Recon 120 helped me finalize the decision to go ahead and order one. Love the swivel seat and recon 120 design. When I anchor up to a spot, I swivel all around to cast and fish and I make sure nothing sticks up. Everything lays flat so I can fish 360°. FYI: for the pedal pad's screws, I took one side out. So when I do bare foot pedaling, no issues. when I have shoe there is grip.

That's a cool idea to fish 360 like that. And good suggestion on the spikes too!

Just so you know when your pivot drive is forward, there are four or five Allen bolts in the drive bracket. Mine actually needed to be tightened up because as I peddled it would go from side to side too much and it actually started squeaking. Just an FYI.

Just discovered your channel. Your reviews are great and I'm definitely going to watch your fishing videos! On the coast of SC and I started getting into fishing last year. Started out with a cheaper Lifetime Angler 100 kayak but looking to upgrade to the recon 120 HD soon (your review helped with the decision).

Nice yak! I would upgrade if I didn't beat the crap out of them on the oysters. May need to get one of those for reds/trout and jetty fishing. Not very safe in the tamarack out there lol.

Do you usually catch sheepshead out that way? The first time I went over there I caught one trout in that same location.

how do you get your audio do you just record it straight to your portable recorder and add it to your video later or is it hooked up to your gopro mic

Yep I sync the audio in post when I'm editing
