An order from Disney Movie Club - Damaged Slip Covers!

I ordered a bunch of movies from the Disney Movie Club, and I wanted to make a video showing you my experience ordering from them. Overall, I did not have the greatest experience since the shipping speed was slow, expensive, and I got a few damaged slipcovers in my order. However, this is about the only place you can get the exclusive titles for a reasonable price. So I recommend DMC if you are into the exclusives. If not, I just recommend buying your Disney titles elsewhere.

One suggestion about damaged slipcovers is buy another copy at the store and return the damaged slipcover copy to the store. I've noticed most people don't care about condition and at store if they do care they can avoid that one. It saves time returning it and cost (if you're charged the return shipping).

I got four movies for a dollar when I joined back in January. I got Disney's Sing-Along Songs THE LION KING Circle of Life on DVD, Frozen Collector's Edition on Blu-Ray, Winnie the Pooh 2011 film release on DVD, and Walt Disney Gold Classic Collection Fun and Fancy Free on DVD.

Both Disney and Touchstone are the same company to Buena Vista Pictures Distribution.

So is MiraMax and the Weinstein Company, as well as Marvel and 20th Century Fox now, all have been bought by Disney to improve their profit margin and also to restore those old movies as well as pay for the new one's that suffer in the box office. There will always bee a cult audience to purchase them when they get discovered by today's youths.

Yes, Disney does own Touchstone. They also own another company that's even more obscure (all I know is that that company made "spy hard")

I ordered the Moana 3D and it got damaged. I called DMC and they said they would send me a new one. They did send me a new one and this time it came in Bubble Wrap. :)

I order from DMC pretty regularly and I'd say the slipcovers are damaged about 60% of the time. It's pretty annoying because I thought they would always be perfect. I've never had a tear like on Mulan though! Makes me nervous. Disney has enough money to safely pack their own movies right?! And they always use that crappy brown paper!

Disney Ball Z I agree. A lot of times the slipcovers come damaged and it really is Bullcrap. They really need to do a better job at packaging there products. They need to use that special packaging with the bubble wrap on the inside. I ordered Muppets Most Wanted off of DMR and the slipcover with it came with a lot of Dings and creases and it was really annoying.

The DMC titles ship in the brown paper? Seriously? I got both Muppets movies from DMR years apart and both slips were in terrible condition. I shrugged both times off since I didn't pay for them but it's ridiculous if they're using the same horrendous packaging when people are paying.

I got my 4 free movies today and, not only that the ones that had slip covers had damaged slip covers, but the bottom of the box was damaged!

we are massive disney fans, and have uploaded several disney collections vlogs, The slip covers look a lot better then what we get in the uk.

I joined the Disney movie club in 2019 and I have saved over $600 as of today. By the time my last few orders ship, it will easily be over $800 saved.

So I just got my first Disney Movie Club order in today, and only two of the movies came with slip covers, though they don't appear to be damaged in any way. So again, maybe they give you the leftovers from the warehouse or something, or refurbished packaging.

I think I just got unlucky with this order. I recently ordered the Bambi/Bambi II Blu-Rays and those arrived without damage. So it's essentially hit or miss if you'll get damaged slipcovers from DMC, as far as my experience goes.

I'm kind of really pissed off with Disney Movie Club. There are some movies like Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas and Bambi II that were in the stores. Now, I wanted to get Bambi II when it was released again, but I can't because it's a DISNEY MOVIE CLUB EXCLUSIVE!!! I don't want to sign up because it's too much hassle in my opinion. Now, I will never be able to see the sequel in its hi-def format. :(

My first 4 movies did not have slip covers and the box art was wet or folded,it took the beauty off movie collecting off.😢

I automatically throw those things in the trash. If not my son will just destroy those covers over time. I guess if your a collector I can see why you would be upset but the majority of people aren't going to care.

He's a worse profit monger than Disney who sells him the product at retail-sale prices; It costs them less than $1.00 each video, even new videos, to make them in Mexico, then as he shows us the price that they have S&H department billed him to ship, even though it is automated. HE is just retailing their retail to people who don't know the value of their dollars.

I wish i could get those DMC movies but we cant in EU, only from eBay but that is really expensive :( It sucks that they come damaged dude! Still nice pickups tho :)

When you get the offers from time to time, that you have to manually decline or else they are sent to you, are you still forced to buy something else instead?

You have to manually decline the offers or else they send it to you and charge you for it. So if you can log on about once a month to decline, then you basically don't have to do anything else aside from placing orders when there's something you want.

Yetizombie 2 sometimes there isn't a big difference, but it's most noticeable on animation. Plus I just like to get all the special features on the bluray
