@@joshandsarahrideI am 2 minutes in to the video so far so don’t even know what this comment is really referring to but its a great idea and id buy a copy!
Watched a few of your videos now. You are both such lovely people sharing you're life in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Thank you for sharing with us all. Love and light.
Just found you both, it's so lovely finding you. Getting to know you and the simple life you lead, as in not the big house, possessions, money. It is refreshing you're home is so lived in and cosy, love the videos and you come across as such a friendly couple best wishes.😊
Glad to have found you and so grateful for your videos. My husband and myself, up until last year had a static caravan at Clea Hall holiday park for years, just above Caldbeck. I recognise a lot of the areas near where you live, and miss it very much. It’s a beautiful less touristy place in the Lakes. I admire your courage and sense of adventure. Hope you get your 50k and able to do what you do full time.🙂🙏
I love how passionate and enthusiastic you are about everything, not just cycling also your love of nature is evident in all the wonderful photographs you take. Your videos are very enjoyable and I'm sure your channel will continue to grow and grow. Best wishes.
I love watching - I now live in Queensland Australia - I lived in Cumbria as a child - my Dads family are from Cockermouth and around Keswick - the Lake District is my favourite place in the world - watching you there brings back happy memories for me - love your videos
Hi Josh and Sarah , I've just recently discovered your channel and I binged watched all of your vlogs 😊 , I especially liked the ones about your lives living in the quaint cottage and how you coped in the winter, also rescuing those 2 kittens. I think they might need worming because they bolt down their meals so quickly..I have 2 cats too . Anyway, congratulations on the success of your channel and I look forward to your next video xx
Hi 👋 really glad you found us and like the videos. They did have a lot of worms when we first took them in and we make sure to worm them regularly. They're both very food driven, which I wonder is from growing up feral and not having a lot of access to food maybe. They're becoming a little calmer around food as they get more used to regular and bigger meals. Thank you for thr support 😁
Hey, I have just found you guys too. We are also out in nature every day with our dogs and get up at 4.30 every morning to take them out before work. We get to see the wild rabbits, owls and little fury creatures which is just amazing. Loving the videos and watching from Guernsey, Channel Islands ❤
Thankyou for your great videos. A coffee table book would be a great idea. Great photos with your video voice-over written down. All the best for the future.
Yes please to the photo book, I actually wondered if you’d sell your photos as prints, love the shots of the Fell Ponies ♥️ thanks for another awesome episode, you guys deserve every success.
19000 subscribers!!!! I knew in my heart, your video's would help you grow. As i mentioned in your last video, a photo book, that could be downloaded, would be welcomed with open arms. You both are truly talented and deserving of a larger following. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into making these video's.
🇬🇧❤️ Beautiful kittens ,😍 they are eating fast, it's time yous, wormed them, plus flea collars & ticks.. & then a litter tray. Sarah, loving your veg beds, & you've kept the Bunnies off them 🐰🐰 well done. 😉 The views again are stunning.
They are very sweet. Yes they're treated for worms and fleas very regularly. They had a lot of worms at first being wild but all clear now. And the litter trays were introduced very early on 😅 we don't actually see too many rabbits around here. Neighbours have said they've seen less and less over the years. Not too sure why.
I have just found you both. What a life well lived! You two are an inspiration! My husband and I spent two years travelling around SE Australia with our bikes. And not that we are back at work in the city - we miss it everyday. For now I guess I’ll live vicariously through your adventures!
Your channel is a magnificent example of living fully and joyfully and you two exquisite people are so radiant in your happiness that it truly is felt all the way here in Brooklyn, NY. I’m utterly inspired. May I add that your video is a magnificent living book of photography, so alive and so accessible in this format of video. I would think that if you do publish a book that it will transport itself to those people who have not yet discovered you here on You Tube, and will provide another platform for your photography to be experienced ( in bookstores, etc). However, nothing can compare with the video and seeing you both and listeningto your narration and seeing your two light filled faces expressing your fulfillment at days’ end. You have such a unique and exquisite channel and your beings are so alive with living your dream. Thank you🙏🕊🙏🕊
Wow this was truly inspiring to read, thank you! Sometime we doubt whether we've truly captured a landscape or told the story well but commentary like this really fill us up and positivity so thank you! The book is definitely something we're considering as a few people have mentioned it, so thank you for the nudge! Really glad you found us and liked the video 😁 happy to have you here and thank you so so much for thr support. It means the world 🌎
Congratulations to you both for all your hard work this year. Its been a really enjoyable watch. Hope you're recovering well Josh. Looking forward to the next 12 months.
Love your videos. The photography is amazing. I think a book of your photography would be a really good idea. I agree slowing down the pace of life makes more time for you to appreciate the nature around you and see how beautiful it is.
Yes we make sure to worm them regularly as they had a lot when we first took them in. I think it may be because they grew up wild and arw taking time to get used to regulate and full meals.
Hi Josh and Sarah Wow! Amazing, 10,000 already. You both breath and show so much confidence and passion for what you do that I am sure that 50,000 hit will be following very soon. Beautiful, stunning video. Makes me very emotional when I see the Lakes through your lens. The kittens are adorable in front of the fire and obviously are comfortable in your company. Keep hold of your dream! Wendy xx
Thank you so much 🙂 yea the kittens are slowly growing in confidence. Very playful but not keen on human touch, they're often all over each other which is svery sweet.
I agree with what others have already said: your story telling and filming is really good. A book of photos would be really nice. Your photos really capture the moments of your surroudings, such as the small details, as well as the larger landscape imagery.
This was lovely! Your shots are so beautiful! ❤️ and congratulations in reaching 18K subscribers! As the weather gets colder, my husband and I are more inclined to stay inside (we love cycling and running), but seeing you push yourselves to get out in these months gets me motivated! Next week I’ll go for my weekly run now 🥰 sending you so much love from Yorkshire! x
Thank you! It's the biggest inspiration to hear that it encourages you to get out. It is difficult when it's colder but it always feels better to, I think. Also there's a really beauty to bright, crisp winter days
Having had solid fuel fires for 30 years, my best tip would be to put a log store where you can reach the logs through a window from the inside. It's really 💩 having to go out in the cold/rain when you need more fuel. Thanks for a great video.
What a beautiful way of life, living without a motorized vehicle has been a dream of mine for a long time but having dogs in the modern world makes it basically impossible. Even biking with them on the side of paved roads is just too impractical. Maybe one day they will build proper walking paths alongside the endless motorways of the world but until then they're basically forcing me to drive.
Yes it can be difficult without dogs so I can only imagine. I do hope one day we have big, wide paths and cycle lanes for getting about. Really glad you liked the video 😁
have you thought about leaving food out for the cats all the time? That might make them feel less food insecure. Cats will usually eat until they're done, and then leave it.
We had considered this but after a few occasions of them eating to excess and throwing up on numerous occasions we've found regular meal times is better. And they're slowly getting a little more used to that consistency. 🐈⬛️
I probably live not far from you guys. currently stuck renting but have dreams of living in a home like yours. sorry if you have already said in another vid - but how did you afford your cottage?
I’m so happy to have come across your channel a couple of months ago! I subscribed immediately! Your videos are wonderful and I’m always amazed by Sarah. It doesn’t seem to matter what the situation is, good or bad, Sarah puts a positive spin on it and flashes a big smile. Such a wonderful approach to life. I’m not surprised that you work in mental health. Josh, your filming is amazing and a book of nature photography would be wonderful I’m sure. Keep up the great work!
Really glad you found us and really glad you like the videos. Getting out in nature brings us so much happiness and is such a source of inspiration. Even if it can be challenging at times it always fills our cup up. Great you'd love to see a photography book, are there any things you'd really like to see in it?
As well as giving your young cats several meals of wet food a day please leave them a bowl of dried food (changed frequently to keep it fresh) so that they don't have that starvation reflex. If they are given as much as they can eat, they will eventually self regulate. A dog will often eat till it's sick but cat's do not do that and shouldn't appear as hungry as yours do. I know you mentioned they eat as if they are starving but if food is available for them as often as they need it, especially if they have a bowl of dried food too with plenty of fresh water, they will loose the starvation reflex that many feral kittens have.
They have massively calmed down with food now after some months of domestic life 🐈⬛ and we have a very tolerant cat sitter who comes and looks after them whilst we're away
Hi guys thanks for this latest video and letting us know more about you both and your day to day lives, the fact you have 10,000 subscribers really is down to the fact your both so chilled and easy to watch and listen to as it’s not forced in any way and no hidden agendas behind the channel like so many on social media can be these days. Those two cats adorable and with your chilled out ways they’ll eventually be on your laps keeping you warm all night 😊 I reckon the photography book would be an absolutely brilliant idea and I’d definitely be buying one, keep the content coming as it’s so refreshing and relaxing to sit and watch you guys peddling in all sorts of weather and still having big smiles on your faces 😊
Thanks so much 🙂 comments like this really inspire us! The cats are slowly coming around but let's just say they're very keen on their personal space 😅 awesome that' you'd be interested in a photography book. Curious if there are certain things you'd prefer to see in one? Thanks for the support!
We go into this in the video but we working online, with j doing freelance and I, Sarah, work on a mental health crisis line. Glad you liked the video 😀
Came across your videos a few weeks back. Love the slower pace of life and enjoyment of nature you advocate. Keep up the good work! My partner is a you tuber with 125k subscribers. It absolutely can be done as a lifestyle. Good luck!
Cars are a burden bike is easy I can get to places without get trap and freedom with bike. Bug bear is when it's freezing when cycling.. don't get me wrong I have a cra but I'm hardly using her as I'm unemployed so being careful not to use her my car all the time . I have a bike and I only just got back into her ..
Love watching your videos me and my husband did so much cycling in the 70's just like you guys are doing now. But the technology wasn't there but that's life we had fun did what we loved as you both are however our bikes where much heavier and all our equipment was too canvas tent you get the idea things have moved on so much things are so much lighter but what happy days good luck to you both I love your videos and look forward to seeing where your adventure takes you both . xx
Sounds like a very enjoyable life 🚲 yes a canvas tent alone would've added so much weight! Definitely a lot lighter now which means we can take what we need with us. Thank you
You are truly blessed 🙌 God's beautiful creations all around you. Hello from Humboldt county in Northern California. I'm also surrounded by Giant Redwoods and the Sea 🌊 🌲Jesus Joy 😊!!
Hi josh. Sorry I didn't chat the other day at Whelpo when I said hello. I was having a low day over some recent bad news. Plus you and Sarah appeared en route so didn't want to impose. I play guitar, and write music too. It's an essential part of the day. Ironically a recent release was about a recent trip to the Cairngorms too. I also work online. Hope u both ok 🙂 D
Hey 👋 no worries at all. Sorry to hear you had some bad news. Sounds like the guitar is a good way to unwind for you as I find also. Very cool you writs music, where can I check out your latest release about thr Cairngorms, that sounds awesome. All the best 🙂
@@joshandsarahride On Bandcamp... Someone Else's Radio Sunnyside (song - named after a ski area at Glenshee, Cairngorms) I don't want to take focus away from your videos though. So I can remove this reply once you have found the song. Let me know 🙂
I just found you yesterday you are both wonderful. I grew up in England in the 1970s early 80s I live in America now. I was training back then for bike racing in the milk race but I found myself in youthful trouble and lost my way. I haven’t ridden since you have inspired me to get back out there thank you both.
What part of England did you grow up in? It's the biggest source if inspiration for us to hear we've encouraged others to get out. Sounds like riding used to be a big part of your life. I hope it can bring the same level of fulfillment
Now it depends what type of photography book you are thinking. If just your photos then yes to a book but if it’s about creative photography that’s something that would probably work better as a video then it’s easy for folk to reference. Dead cute to see the wee ferals still having their happy bottle brushes when feeding. Most domestic kittens grow out of that pretty quickly. Also isn’t it interesting how you can be a cyclist striving for speed but once you start doing off road and photography that seems to go out the window and you slow down.
We were thinking more a book of photos rather than how to take photos. The kittens are growing slowly and are so playful, which is very sweet. Yes it is curious and we definitely prefer it this way. I guess it took some time but we've found a pace that works and means we get to really enjoy our natural surroundings.
I never had a bike as a child, I never learned to ride one. Some years ago my daughter encouraged me to learn. She walking alongside of me. Sufficeth to say that hour was traumatic to both of us :) so I cycle vicariously through you both. 😃. On a world tour , what would your families requests be about contact, and which safety precautions will you yourselves implement?. I love to see the little bit of Sarah opening the window. I feel oh what will we see today. Quite evocative for some reason. Is it possible to have that at the beginning of each episode ?. No pressure at all. 🙂. Blessings to you both. Re the question about a book. I have wondered if it would be feasible to buy a print of a photograph Josh ?.
It is something that is difficult to pick up. Sounds like your daughter is very encouraging though and although it may take time I think with practice it can come. Really glad you liked that shot 🪟 Prints is also something we've considered. Arw there any you'd particularly like to see?
@@joshandsarahride Hello Josh and Sarah thank you for your reply. I particularly enjoy your starlight ones and frosty scenes. Though all of your works are good Josh. Even the scene sans Sarah with the window open looking outwards would be lovely. You have so many great photos to choose from. Oh and your stone stairs too. How many feet have trodden those I wonder?. Blessings to you both.
They did have a lot of worms when they came to us bit they are now wormed regularly. They have been checked out by a vet and they said they're all good but I didn't ask specifically abour diabetes. I will look into this, thanks 🙂🐈⬛️
Hi josh and Sarah just subscribed to your channel love your videos look forward to seeing new one's hopefully comming soon and just a final word on your cats are they more domesticated now?
Love following your videos. You live in such a beautiful place. I’m afraid my traveling days are over. Thank you for taking us along on your adventures. Cheers from California
Thanks guys..... another great video. Two questions though..... are you married? And are you able to tell us what the online business is? Louise and Paul ❤
