Floor stack bunkers need to be included too :) one of my favourite bases I ever designed used 2 of them. I love free hands too, whenever I build a big base I use a ring of sheet metal free hands for secondary external tcs, with 7 rockets stored in each so a raider will never make profit.
For the spiral staircase bunker: if you make the twig floor for the jump up a metal triangle frame with a triangle grill you can destroy the single twig floor the staircase is built on, and it covers the twig floor coming through the wall. You will want to cover the twig on the other side as well outside of the bunker as it pokes through there too, I use another triangle frame inside my honeycomb for that.
I dont quite understand, what purpose does the metal triangle frame with the floor grill serve? Are you able to shoot out the twig that the staircase is built on without it? And what purpose does the triangle floor on the opposite side of the jump up have (in the honeycomb)? Is it only there to allow you to place the twigs to build the staircase? Trying to figure out the exploitable parts but can't figure out exactly what steps are important
To add to the question, whats the point of putting specifically triangle frames inside the honeycomb? I assume it serves the same purpose as a regular triangle floor, at the same cost, in terms of covering the twigs through walls?
Thanks for making this video, it was very informative. I'm always blown away by the production quality of each of your videos, you must have a lot of fun setting up all of these little situations to record your character in demo mode :p
the tc behind the vending machine trick works with a wood/metal/armored door in side the frame and it will not take damage until the vending machine is broken
With triangle staircase bunkers, on the jump up side, instead of a triangle floor, you can put a triangle frame with a metal grill inside and the bunker will still work
I like to do a base just like the second roof bunker he did.but I also plays a low foor triangle beside the high foor triangle thats in front of it then plays an other low foor triangle with to high and that makes a nice dubble bunker base then plays 3 triangle style rooms on each side then only need 4 high walls
Roof bunker 2 can be beat consistently with a Molotov unless it's been patched recently (which I doubt considering it's been an issue since Molotovs came out) It's been a few months since I tested it tho
Each molly only does about 3 damage when it's upgraded to wood, so unless you plan on throwing like 80 mollys i'd say it's not worth it, and then again, raiders can't even see if the wood is going down at all.
They destroyed dropbox and I could not replace. It was a year a go so this mechanic may of changed please let me know if you know anything about this. Thanks great work well played.
i’m so confused with how bunkers work tbh, are you supposed to just leave it open while you’re online then close them before you get off? or are you supposed to keep closing them then kill ur self each time u come home to re open them? pls help
Having trouble with the bunker at 18:37. The gaps are very clear even with the door frames and I cannot place the triangle frame without breaking the bunker
Nice video, useful content and very well edited :) There is another method for the vending machine bunker, latest video on my channel in case you're interested. I would post a link to it, but that usually gets my comments deleted lol.
