An UNBELIEVABLE ENDING to Subnautica Below Zero - The Architect Home World Revealed 

The best part of the ending, to me, was Al-an saying "I *hope* you're right". He finally understood hope.

I love how at the start of the game Al-an is almost totally emotionless, but as the game goes on he becomes more and more "human" with his emotions and personality thanks to Robin, that's some character development right there

Sub zero definitely draws you in, it feels like being more invested on a personal level rather than an observer situation like subnautica.

I love how subnautuca’s endings make you FEEL so much. In the first game it was beautiful and such a sense of triumph. Especially with the final speech. Here it’s so awe inspiring and absolutely hype. Would ABSOLUTELY be down for another game one day

it took three years to finish and was a beutiful ending and a cliff hanger setup for a third one, couldn’t have asked for more

This makes me so happy because ever since I heard about the architects in the first subnautica I’ve always wondered if we were ever going to find a live one and here we are in below zero NOT ONLY finding one and putting him back together BUT we also get a glimpse at his home planet! This game has come so far and I’m so proud of the developers with how far they’ve come

That ending was so fucking cool. The animation of the phase gate and the art in the space part I am ecstatic with how amazing that looked

I feel some sort of romance, but also he did miss the ending to Sam’s story and killing the bacterium

This was the best game that had a lot of different things in it. I love it.

well there are a few things you missed: the robot penguin is hidden somewhere, so by not doing it, yeah it doesn't change the story, but it kind of feels good when you know you finished her work that she was trying to do it was Marguerit is the one to cause her to get into action which in turn caused the death. it doesn't change anything.

i can't wait for subnautica 3 to come out.

I've played through the ending multiple times and it never differs. I guess the only difference is the mentality of the player and the connections to why Robin was so eager to leave if everything was unfinished. But overall the scenes and stuff are the same. I would love to see your reactions to finding the other tid bits but it is ultimately up to you! Love your vids IGP! Stay safe!

I like to think that alterra playing with the bacteria is what results in the events of Natural Selection taking place (considering it's the same universe and the aliens and the bacteria are one in the same)

Finding and using the antidote seems not to change anything, except that you finished your sisters work. The devise you mentioned was used with the found antidote and the big green pustule will disapper... nothing more or less.

Just finished it with the cure and it was amazing. I had this game when it first came out of early access and only played the first part/chapter where Al-An uses you as a USB stick. After that I waited till full release and it was worth it. I also made a save before entering the portal I got some eggs to hatch and the new cute-fish to find.

It'd be amazing if they set the next game or DLC in the Architect world. It'd be really cool to interact with other Architects and get a glimpse into how their society works. In terms of storyline, perhaps the other Architects are skeptical of Robin, and so she and Al-an search for ways for her to be accepted into their society. Perhaps the Architect leader(s) (not sure if they'd have leaders though) send her on missions to another planet (or multiple, but perhaps only one big planet so that the player can get fully immersed in its story? Though multiple smaller planets could be interesting) for research purposes or to help out other Architects on their own endeavors on and off their own planet. That way the game can still have the Subnautica feel to it through the exploration of another/other planet(s), but with the Architect planet being the "home base" of the game. Perhaps that other planet has a crisis of its own, such as another global medical emergency (this one might feel repetitive from the previous games though), a rebellion in its society, or maybe even Alterra coming to exploit that planet as well. Perhaps, in the end, Robin is presented with the opportunity to become an Architect herself (maybe the Architects fully accept her, or maybe she has a health complication that can't be cured, and she would need a new body). I'd also be very interested in the continuation of Al-an and Robin's relationship, whether it be romantic or platonic. There's also the possibility that there are no Architects left, and in that case, could be more Subnautica-like in terms of survival and trying to find out what happened. Perhaps even trying to explore other planets in search of them (there could still be some survivors scattered around but just not on the Architect planet) through distress calls like Al-an's. I still think the idea of Robin becoming an Architect for whatever reason in this storyline would be awesome as well, in order for her to become a "permanent" being like Al-an. Perhaps Al-an would not be able to fathom his life without her. I think the Architect world has so much potential for a great storyline and for expanding the game further; the aspect of interacting with more characters would be very exciting. These aspects of the game might make it feel less like the original Subnautica, but I think incorporating some of them would be very exciting and enjoyable. Edit: Additional idea: if there really are no more Architects left, maybe Robin and Al-an work together to survive and rebuild the Architect planet? Perhaps there'd be a way to create more Architects (not sure how that'd work though)

Lillian reminds me of the leviathan boss from the first game. Not only that but it’s called Alterra the a.i. Is Al-an or Alien and he hides so much from you being the player that is I would understand he’s evil as soon as he started hiding things

Hey so I'm adding this here for anyone who plays this game. If you make a juke box you will have a conversation with Al-an about music. I just wanted to share that for anyone that wanted more Al-an content and hadn't gotten around to that bit yet.

I'm a little late but we actually know that Sam's death wasnt entirely an accident. She wasnt meant to get caught in the cave in but she was the cause. If you remember the pda you get while at Margarite's green house they mention Sam going there with the explosives to blow it up. She was just supposed to get clear but the security guy made her stop for a moment

God, I want the third game, but I really want a Sequel to the first subnautica. I want to know what happens with Ryley, I want to see the actual frozen leviathan if it's possible there's still one, I want to see the architect planet and if they're still alive. It would be cool if they could possibly blend in homeland and oceanic concepts together with a huge city or something in the ocean. I also want to know what will happen with Margarita and it would be cool to see Ryley come back and perhaps interact with Robin.

This games was super fucking good. The story was a huge step up from the simple survival of the previous game. However they traded in a good story for a subpar gameplay experience. The setting is awesome but it doesn’t really feel like a survival anymore. I beat the whole game in under a day’s time and was kinda bummed about how nonlinear it was and how despite Robin’s whole motivation to uncover her sister’s past, you can completely ignore it and focus on AL-AN entirely.

As soon as you entered the portal. Nothing seemed like subnautica

they better make "subnautica above the clouds" and you swim in the clouds and discover what happened to the architects (they will be missing, not dead, but they disappeared or left) and you play with really cool ass tech, but that might not happen sadly

There is no way they just leave us on that note. I will not believe that they just show us the home world and that’s it. A 3rd game would be absolutely amazing. A game where the Architect Home World has mostly sunk underwater and you had to search for survivors.

I love both subnauticas. I was playing both games in early acces totally from the start. And after i saw the ending in below zero i hope so much for third subnautica maybe Subnautica precursors . Or maybe something new like Precursors back home. It would be so cool to play as Robin in the homeworld of precursors dont ya think ?

This is leading to a part 3 or DLC that add the rest either way the game was fun definitely going to do another playthrough of both subnautica and subnautica below zero

As interesting as it’d be, a third game on the precursor planet probably isn’t gonna happen as it’s not really in line with the existing ocean exploration themes of the games.

All the clouds and islands on the homeworld gives big bioshock infinite vibes, i mean, subnautica has audiologs too. I would realy like a game where its robin and AL-AN finding out what happened on the homeworld, but that wouldnt really be subnautica El big sad

The ending doesn’t change if you finish Sam’s story unfortunately considering that’s what you came there to do. It’s surprising that you can leave the planet without finishing what you came there to do

What a disappointment the frozen leviathan- I've been following this game and the one before it for years, but I was still hopeful that the frozen leviathan would unfreeze and take over as a boss. I hope someone makes a mod with that leviathan, alive.
