This series is going at the perfect speed. You're getting new equipment often enough to keep it interesting, but not so often that it seems "unrealistic". Definitely think the collectibles help, and I think you collect those at the right speed too. Keep it up!

Love the series, I have one Mod suggestion. There is a mod for the grape mulcher and plow that slightly increases its working size without physically changing its dimensions. I know its not the most realistic but its just wide enough to perfectly cover the area between the vines. I don't think it makes much difference on yield but aesthetically it makes a huge difference in how nice the vineyard looks.
@jangjiao1
@jangjiao1 2 года назад
The progression is alright, neither to fast nor slow. There is only one thing i'd change. Sell the Sheep and the small Chicken coop. Build another big Chicken Coop where the sheep have been to feed both Chicken coops at the same time if possible and put the Sheep on the spot where the smal Chicken coop was. We may loose money that way but the eggs should be able to recover that fairly quickly i think. What do you and audience think about that?

@LezMarwick
@LezMarwick 2 года назад
If it's realistic, the vine spraying is coming out the side pf the sprayer and each pass sprays two rows, so by going down every row you are spraying each row twice. Also it shouldn't matter if the whole ground isn't covered because the grapes are only growing on small strips of the field, rather than the usual crops which grow all over the field.
@mrbillybob444
@mrbillybob444 2 года назад
So I did some work with this, and unfortunately your crop yield is based on the whole ground area of the grape crop, not just where the vine is. But, it was only about 3 to 5 percent difference, and I did not find doing the extra work worth it.

Leave a turnable amount of space between the new and old vines as it'll be easy to turn around if the harvester gets full OR You could shift the gapes to the northern side of the map if you could relocate the vines with no cost as it'll be nearer to the grape processing unit, and also buy a suitable field near the oil press AND, buy a 8000-10,000 litre trailer so that you can cart small amount of stuff with _speeeeed_ using the pickup

Hello Daggerwin. I've been enjoying this series immensely! I appreciate the immersion in all of your series...the level you choose is perfect for me. I have found that when I ignore immersion, the game isn't quite as fun. I get so many ideas and inspirations from your let's plays and I wanted you to know I truly appreciate you sir. Not to go off-topic, but I recently purchased Euro Truck Simulator and was looking for videos for some tips and what do you know.....I came across Daggerwin driving across Iceland bound for Norway! Love this series, One of my nightly routine to watch an episode. My only recommendations would be to move the bee's as they seem to get in the way. Possibly sell sheep more often to let them reproduce. Finally I would say maybe limit collectibles to 1 an episode as they do seem to jump your cash a tremendous amount. All and all though very pleased to keep watching more!

I bought 37, plowed as much of the property into the field as I could, and planted grass. Put a big silage pit at one end. I cut it when it's ready and dump it in all year, cover it in December, and sell it in January. Also fertilized and mulched.

Good morning mister Daggerwin. You talked about playstyle a little bit and just wanted to say that I like the way you play FS22 because it's a lot like how I would play aside from small details of course. I like how you start out with almost nothing and work your way up gradually with acquiring equipment, land, animals etc. Sure, you could give yourself unlimited amounts of money and get all the giant, fancy equipment but you don't do that. I worked on a farm with my dad, uncles and my grandpa before he passed away and the excitement I can hear in your voice over getting a new piece of equipment or a tractor is exactly how I felt whenever I got to operate a new or different machine than what I usually did and that's so awesome. Thank you for the awesome content. I always look forward to yours and Chainsaw's videos each morning. Greetings from Minnesota, USA!

"The Valtra will probably be sold - didn't want to".... but you've been threatening to sell it in almost every episode 🤣😂 Sell the current MF to make way for the upgraded one you want to get. the MF and the Valtra are both similar in spec, so why not keep each brand, and just replace them with the same brand?
@danielcodes
@danielcodes 2 года назад
I think because his current MF has narrow tires, double rear tires, and front loader attachment already purchased for it, so those would need to be bought again for the valtra or a replacement tractor. Agree though that a full line of bright red tractors isn't as interesting!

I would recommend selling the Sorgum and keeping a percentage of the barley for the chickens. Chickens consume food at an even rate, no matter the grain type. Sorgum is more valuable per 1000l than barley is

I'm sure at some point you won't be able to skip it anymore and the series is nice anyway. Only thing I would add, do an episode (when you have some cash) where you just go about tidying up the place. use landscaping to make your farm come more to life. you know, add some tyre tracks in that little cut through, proper parking for your trailers, fences, props. that would be nice :)

Aaaargh! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! - *Wilhelm scream* - - *various exclamations of despair* - You have bought a Square Baler? Nice one though; CaseIH red and everything (It's not quite Massey, but still red)... And yeah, square balers are very nice since they let you keep rolling while it just churns out bale after bale in a continuous stream of squared off practicality... But.... Have you heard of our Lord and Saviour, the Vicon FastBale? It'll bale AND wrap, continuously. It'll calculate an appropriate top speed, set your tractor at that and you can just keep on rollin' baby... Seriously, I'd love to hear your thoughts on that one...

I think the series is going great. And maybe replace the McCormick with the new holland t7.275 at some point, as it’s more powerful than the McCormick, also, the 275 is the stock version of the t7, and it should be just as fast as the McCormick. Should be able to pull the tanker out no problem. But it’s ok if you decide not to, I still think the McCormick is a good tractor.

I know you strive for a level of realism in your let's plays, but for a bit of a laugh could you try "unsticking" a pallet in the way I found works best. Take the lorry with a fully loaded water tanker and run face first into the pallet. Unsticks it every time lmao. You also said you don't play like everyone else but I've been playing along with the series and it's amazing how similar farms are. Oh which reminds me, there is a small field down by the closest rail loading point that is rather cheap and I found to be the perfect spot to build an "industrial" area. Do mind the slop of the land but I bet you could make proper looking production area to further progress the production chains.

I up and down each row with the grapes just so I know I have done them well, may not need to do that but I feel better doing it =) I still think you should sell the small chicken cop, so you only have one cop to worry about. not that it's a big deal, just get a little more space there for something else or parking
@TheGibsOfTheTube
@TheGibsOfTheTube 2 года назад
Hey, for the pallets that are stuck in the ground. Download one of the "auto loading trailer" mods. Even if you DON'T ever use it for your game (since it breaks reality a bit) you can at least use it to fix your glitched pallets without digging the ground or having other issues. Also for the mowing... There is a pair of mowers one similar to the front mount you have and the other is a dual wing that folds down on each side. You might normally run one in front and other in back HOWEVER, they can both be stacked on front. The wing mower directly to your front of the tractor (tractor needs front PTO) and the smaller mower can be powered off the wing mower. Then you can throw a tedder on the back of the tractor OR a windrower to instantly toss it out for hay or row it up for silage collection.

I was really excited with the progress at first, but recently it does feel like the episodes are super stretched out and getting little to no progress done. Moving some pallets, feeding some animals, setting a worker to do a field and maybe a contract or just some equipment moving, gotten to the point now where it doesn't matter if I don't watch for 10-15 minutes because I won't miss anything whereas in the first 20 ish episodes I couldn't look away for a second or I'd have to rewind because I'd have missed something. But it's probably more down to the natural progression, setting up is always busier than maintaining. Hopefully the productions become more affordable soon
@alexmcd378
@alexmcd378 2 года назад
Yeah, it is kind of the nature of the beast. The further along you are, the smaller portion anything new is. If he got a ten million windfall and started olives, it would be one episode of setting up, and then future episodes would be 90% the same as they are now. That gave me an idea for a game mode that would be great for streamers. The ability to sell your business. Build a small profitable farm, and sell the business. Use the profit to open a dairy. Get it going well and sell it for a profit, and use the money to start a vineyard and brewery. Even better if there was a business AI, so you could buy crops from your old farm to feed the animals at your new business, etc.

you should buy a grass-roller after mowing you can pass over ones and get two fert-stages on the gras for easy better yield and they are really cheap

Yeah but he has that fertiliser with the massive working width. The roller is only a few m wide I think.

The exact peace of machinery available for sale right at the moment when you wanted it? It's so nice to have such an outstanding coincidence after you've started using mods! ;) All good, I love the series. Keep it up

I think the pace is great and im glad youve done something different like sugar beat and planting the trees. I personally would like to see cotton or potatoes as one of your next crop and maybe training up some horses to see how profitable that can be.

I will applaud your discipline in not buying atleast one thing on the used equipment market. I can’t help myself but to buy atleast one thing from there if I have the money 😂

I know you are a big massy Ferguson fan but I am sure that you could include some other brands instead of mostly massy’s. I know in this series so far you have had barley any massy’s but in fs19 there was a lot more massy’s. I live on a farm in Australia and we have two case tractors plus a truck and some buggy’s. Would love to see mabey some cows and other little machines when they are available.

"keep content fresh, not wanting to repete myself" proceeds to wanting to buy always massey's

Hey daggerwin, I was wondering if your steering wheel has a knob, as you can turn really fast and smoothly

to fix the stuck pallets, if you use your forklift and set the forks to the widest setting, drive up to it like normal and then to the narrowest setting you can get it unstuck (I saw it on reddit)

I think the progression is just right, it’s nice to see many aspects of the game not just one production :)

Can you buy the field next to your tree field before it has harvested? Seems like a nice extension to your farm :)

Daggerwin, I enjoy your farm and playing style. If you run the baler at a slower speed, you might be able to pick up the entire row without leaving some on the sides.

Hey daggerwin, you can plant wheat and oats and such crops and you can’t cut the crop just like grass. I think you get more swath cutting with a mower instead of harvesting.

It seems one could simply focus on greenhouses and eggs and the rest is just a hobby. Therefore, if one simply starts out with greenhouses, then chickens and then a wheat field to substitute purchased wheat with homemade wheat, one could roll in dough. Vineyard and everything else is just "for play." Also, fertilizer contracts!

Loving the series! I'm trying to get caught up to your current videos. I was playing on XBox One. LOTS of lag. Then my husband ordered XBOX Series X. Much better.

Hello Daggerwin I have found on the glitched pallets I take a tractor and lower the weight an push it to a flat surface usually the field lol it comes out of the ground you have to get a decent running start but hey it's free

You should roll the grass straight after baling it. Apparently it acts as fertiliser lawn roller not normal one.. why don't you plow your fields specially after corn or root crops. If you don't you loose 15% productivity. Apparently.

Series progress is excellent don't go quicker or slower thin its perfect i really think would get long windid and boring if you slow down. Think add more chickens at the olive grove in the future.
