I made a level like that just a few months ago, lol. Except it's a water level, with the night-theme, and it's in a spot so nasty that you can easily miss it even after knowing where it is... and then you're on a tight timer to do some other stuff after that... ... I don't know why I do this to people, lol. I did at least title it "The Worst Level in this Game", so at least I kept the expectation honest. (I do have some actually decent levels, at least)
Yeah, same. I created the sequel to Poweŕ Tŕansport a few months ago and it's definitely a level you'll have to spend a long time to beat it (~ 8 minutes long).

Some of those ideas could make awesomely evil anti-softlocks for troll levels but the creator decided just to put them all as the whole entire level AND then add softlocks for some terrible reason.

I have no idea why but this random video is now my favourite DGR video. It's a classic and amazing uncleared level video - a bunch of really good levels (including a #DGR one, a precision, a flowing level, cool ideas and an amazing kaizo) and a really terrible one too. Made me laugh and be amazed and inspired all together, all whilst DGR commentates over the top. Thanks DGR

I feel like I have been challenged personally by the creator of “Krad’s Steaming Hot Pile” to make a worse level. I don’t know the creator in any way, but I feel like he is challenging me
every nation should create that kind of level (first level) to torture/interrogate criminal by making them clear it 10 times in a row and without checkpoint
As to why good levels might have no clears and no hearts is two main reasons: Unlike mm1, levels won’t usually appear in endless challenge without at least one heart or something (so on one hand hot garbage is less likely to come up on the other hand you basically have to wait longer for people to discover your level) unless that changed. Most people don’t heart levels they don’t beat

tfw DGR keeps trying to ground pound to get through the bouncing platforms but the initial delay and slight height gain is the thing that keeps making him miss the clear path down. Like...all he had to do multiple times there was fall.

To describe this video in D&D terms. Stats: 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, and a 1 That's right. You can't get that low without penalties, but we sure did it. Absolutely fantastic, if you avoid the garbage. I would like to know who finally beats that monstrosity when someone eventually does. Y'know, probably around 2022 or so.
The problem with troll levels is that they're too easy. That first level is like an evolution of carlsagan42s troll levels. They have that difficulty factor that makes them extra annoying and rage inducing.
The level at the beginning was made for a bad level contest called the suffering games for context. Some absolutely EVIL levels come out of it and its great fun to create for!

The first level must have taken HOURS to upload. They had to clear it in one go, then clear it from the first checkpoint, then clear it from the second checkpoint. And I thought I took a long time to upload my level with 3 hard sections and a reusable checkpoint...
