An Unforgettable Day on the Grand Canyon of the East! 

Enjoy these highlights from our Unforgettable Day whitewater rafting on the Grand Canyon of the East at Letchworth State Park! Rochester Accessible Adventures facilitated a large group trip to Letchworth State Park's Adventure Calls Outfitters. Thirty six people, with and without disabilities, gathered to enjoy the gorgeous river scenery. Most of them rafted while a few supported and stayed behind to await the picnic afterward.
Images include a series of photos of people getting ready to go rafting, prepping their life jackets, helmets, and paddles. A guide stands on a raft on dry ground to explain how the trip will proceed, how the rafters will work with their guide to navigate the rapids, and what to do "if something happens".
The next series of photos shows the group down at the river, in various stages of waiting and loading the rafts. And then, the photos (often blurrier because cameras were tucked safely in clear plastic waterproof bags) show the rafts moving along the river, at the bottom of very tall cliffs, sometimes tree-lined and sometimes barren rock walls.
Finally, the photos show folks happily and ravenously eating our catered picnic of burgers and hots back at the Adventure Calls Outfitters' site.
A Dralla Foundation banner appears throughout the photo selections, and the last photo is the entire group holding Dralla's donated and logoed towels -- lots of great smiles!
