As another software engineer this is such a relatable schedule. Rolling out of bed at 9am and getting to sleep between midnight and 2am every single day 🫠
Heyo! Stumbled upon your channel and wanted to say that you look cute, attractive and give off a very kind energy. Seems like you have a very bright personality and I'm jealous of that zeal for life that you've shown in your videos. Saw one of your responses down in the comments below mentioning that you might leave your job. I would highly recommend not leaving your job unless you have another one lined up just because I think the current market for entry-level comp sci grads is so terrible. Although it seems your school ranking and master's degree would make you more resilient towards the market, I still hope you have some financial stability before making that kind of leap. Also, hope you're aware of your surroundings when in Chicago. It's generally pretty safe, but there's still sometimes where one could feel unsafe in the area. Great videos!
thanks for the advice, appreciate you!!🙌 i’m really lucky in that i have another one lined up and i’m sure things would be very very different if i didn’t😭 thanks again for the advice!!
I'm learning coding but not to get a job. After thinking about it , it all seems like a terrible job waking up at 5am coding on a screen ALL day every single day......idk now
great quality video! Which org do you play volleyball with? I normally play grab a game but the games are pretty infrequent and im trying to play more often
thank you!!! i play w the 9man community (Chicago United and Chicago Dragons). i played quite a bit of grab a game a while ago but now the games aren’t so great:/ now i just play some player’s tourneys once in a while and w the 9man ppl!
You finish around 1 in the morning but of course most of the time you dedicate it to something else, but I think that's how all software engineer jobs are in general, it's my first job and I'm also that relaxed but sometimes with stress is strange
The working life is a lot slower than being a college student, isn't it. Do you see yourself working on development of a molecular visualization program like Chimera X? Good to see you again. Thank you.
it really is! being a student is just go go go with no structure so it's weird to have that now haha. and yes i can definitely see myself combining biology and computer science and working in biotech. but still tbd, lots to figure out😅
you totally should!!! ok after trying all the variety pack ones, i think the chocolate cookie monster, glazed chocolate donut, or cookie dough ones are best! for a gift though, maybe the variety pack would be best!🤔
thank you!!:) honestly no😭 this was my first real job though so i don’t have too much of a reference (only past internships) but i think being in-person/hybrid would be a lot better! that’s just me though, ik remote works really well for some people!
@@stephranaway yes, ig remote work is better if one has dependants like children, I had a remote internship last summer and I hated having to use teams to talk with colleagues... Hopefully you get a in-person/hybrid job soon!
