I remember playing this demo on a build found deep in the dungeons online it helped me a lot in info about this demo. Apparently I heard sonic had to use his spikes to beat the rock guy (I'll call him rockie).
Neat update. I'll mention there are two more things. That cartridge you shown *wasn't* Sonic 1. That was the game next to it. The actual Sonic 1 cartridge may have also just been a simple PCB, but it had a slip of Sonic art in front of it (the art of Sonic leaning on a sign). There is also video footage of the demo, but unfortunately, it's unrecognizable due to the angle of the camera.
@@MDTravisYT Well in that second screenshot if I remember correctly had a cartridge with the text “SONIC THE HEDGEHOG” in white with a red background at the same booth.
@@modemcat98 You think we should contact Yuji Naka to search, because another RU-vidr made a theory that the TTS 1990 prototype of Sonic 1 could be internally lost back at Sega of Japan. Meaning if we go there we migjt be able to find this long lost prototype 😁😁
Possibly it isn't lost forever SINCE it was hosted on the event and the event is still keeping up, possibly they have archives, like files on the computers of the ROM's shown in Tokyo Toy Show 1990, 1991, 1992 etc, or somewhere in Sega of Japan, someone really gotta apply to work in Sega of Japan to steal it... (even tho its illegal but worth it)
Awesome bro!!! You sound like a professional, well done. You deserve way more appreciation. I’ve been subscribed for about 2 months now, and have been enjoying great videos for a while now. But your videos could be a bit longer.
Yes, i would like to see more of theese in the future 👍 And i've heard that this Prototype was intented to be in a Sonic collection, i think it was Gems, but they didn't find the Prototype so it wasn't included.
Great video as always! It's crazy how every year we discover something new about a lost prototype. Hope you reach 1k one day. One recommendation tho, you can prolly tone the BG music down a bit so people can hear you better.
honestly man, you should make a video on the development on the games traveller's tales worked on for the sonic series, but anyways this is a really great second part!
according to the cutting room floor, In the screenshot of sonic blocking the sign, Yuji Naka confirmed that the hidden characters are R and SE. So it says: you are welcome never seen.
The song volume is a little bigger then youres but neat update i hope that you in future will be a great youtuber as you do better then most beginners. I wish they didnt lost the prototype and put it in sonic jam and nade sonic 1 and 2 for the sega cd with remasterer music and new zones but the idea was scraped and now we have sonic cd
Actually, people have already done that! There's a website called The Cutting Room Floor (tcrf.net) that has tons of pages of people diving into files of games. I'd recommend checking out the ones on the Genesis Sonic games because they are all very interesting.
share it share it shre it shrae it we want this demo to not be lost pls upload it or show it i want this demo to be found pls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
