He has gone from stage 2 to stage 4 kidney disease. We saw the heart doc today and the kidney doc tomorrow. I left an abusive marriage in 2016. Met that man and this one together twenty years ago. The weird quote by Dan in pile 2: The top quote could be referring to the darkness felt in the past, how lonely one felt in "still night sea" with their toes monotonously pointing towards the negativity they faced without any clarity of the whole picture/situation. While the second stanza is asking them to reflect 'what' helped them get through that darkness, and how it managed to help them. In retrospective and in short, during my early years, the notion of an absolute answer was drilled into me countless times. This kept going until a few examples popped up where others helped me discover that there could be other 'right' answers/ways to live life. This helped me understand that for most situations there can be soo mannyyyy possibilities and the textbook/pre-conceived answer is not the 'only' answer. And so, the spectrum of perspectives started increasing and I started to realize that no one can truly provide you with the correct answer-- it is based on you, your thoughts, your notions and the circumstances you've been through or the actions you take all contribute to it. It is unique to everyone and so, one cannot assign their own answer onto others. However, that does not mean that we should completely ignore others' answers if they don't share our perspectives. Instead, we should try to observe what they are trying to provide through communication, and take in the parts which point us to newer positive perspectives or are constructive in their nature (feedbacks, for instance). In one line, we should respect all perspectives as we live through life to attain our answer to it.
