I love these so much. I can't wait until the TV movie sequels. Being a kid whose family didn't want to watch the show meant I only got to see a handful of episodes, but fortunately for me by the time the TV movies came out I was old enough to have a TV in my room. #Just90sKidsThings
15:37 Matts crowning moment of awesome (so far at least), damn, that was satisfying. I also noticed that for someone who's never carved a pumpkin before, they're pretty good at it. As for the Delorean being tinfoil at the beginning, I always liked that in BTTF2, Doc admitted that Biffs Ford would 'rip through them like they were tinfoil.'
I overall enjoyed these series, the only somewhat nitpick I had is that there were only newcomers in the US, if there were more at least two or three ships more that landed in different spots on the globe, it would add to the commentary as how newcomers integrate in the different cultures, or how the different countries treated them initially etc.
This episode makes me wonder, the former Overseers can just freely walk around Earth then? They're not getting persecuted and are just as welcome as the every other Newcomer? Boy, this really was a Science-Fiction series.
None of what they did was prosecutable under US law. It wasn't in the US at all. Not to mention how many of them hide their status. So, legally, they are just as welcome because we have no legal means of differentiating. I mean, the rest of us would still be the rest of us. I personally wouldn't be eager to make friends with someone with a wrist tattoo, but it's America, there's always someone who doesn't have a problem with it.
Huh, I was under the impression that the child being dragged away was Buck. After all, in the series canon (not the original movie) he was a teenager when they landed, so there was probably some time when he wasn't with George while they were on the slave ship. And I guess I assumed George was having a memory of Buck being separated on the ship. Though, that's not to say it couldn't be a third child- who knows!
I may have cut it for time, but Revere said something like "Is there someone they want you to forget, George?" Tho it would be a nice bit of continuity if it was about his being separated from Buck, since he was having trouble parenting him because of that in an earlier episode.
That’s true! I guess I thought him saying that made George remember Buck’s separation, but he felt some doubt because of Revere’s words. Like, he was remembering Buck, but the seed of doubt has been planted- DID he forget one of his children? But, since the series never got past the first season- not including books and movies, which I haven’t seen yet- I can’t say any of this with certainty. Maybe it was planned to bring this up later and explore that idea further. Thanks for replying to me, btw. I feel special ^_^
The eating over the corpse reminds me of the X-files episode where Scully is opening up a body and examining his stomach contents and it makes her hungry for pizza, cracked me up.
Yeah no. From what my morgue friend say when this comes up on tv they’ll discuss what to have for lunch over the body but actually eat over it is 1. Unprofessional and 2. Could be considered contaminating evidence. That might just be where she works.
It's annoying to see the humans be so dismissive of George bringing up the myth. Just because they don't believe that the myth is real, doesn't mean that familiarising themselves wouldn't help with the case since someone is closely replicating it; like working out motive, possible victims, where they could strike next, etc.
The Edsel was named after the manufacturer's son and was a famously ugly car... Also, remember "1984" -- some people have a very good reason to be afraid of rats!
