“Someone by my side/Turned his face to mine/And then I turned away/Into the shade” - I’ve always loved how this line is analogous to the end of the Orpheus and Eurydice story; Orpheus turning his face to her and Eurydice “turning away” into Hadestown. Just brilliant.
