That's what I thought, but the movie is just awful and disgusting to give me a chance to even see her as Marylin Monroe. I just can't understand what's the reason behind so much graphic rape on screen... who enjoys that? The world is just messed up.

What about Michelle Williams who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe? Should she be held accountable too? What about Austin Butler, Chadwick Boseman, Rami Malek and all of those other great actors who portrayed famous people - some of whom gone too soon? Should they be held accountable too? Do you really think Ana could turn this opportunity down? She got the offer before Knives Out of James Bond - she was still unknown and got this offer. If you think her team would’ve allowed her to turn this role down you’re delusional. Maybe Ana de Armas opposed the idea of such a portrayal, maybe not; If you’re ranting about accountability, stick with common sense and do it correctly; Hold her team accountable. And since the movie hasn’t released yet it’s too quick to judge the film. The film allows the viewer to see what it was like to be Marilyn Monroe as Norma Jean. According to miss de Armas, “Marilyn [Monroe] was present during shooting and would let us know when she liked or disliked something.” So there’s that.

@@annev3301 Michelle Williams, Austin Butler and Rami didn't do none factual or vulgar film about the legends they played and portrayed in the films they did. They were respectful and did a project film that didn't put out cheap or harmful scenes in the movie just to prove a point, they did for those legends just as Marilyn Monroe wanted to do for Jean Harlow but she couldn't with the project she turned down because it was vulgar, none factual and exploiting Jean Harlow her childhood hero. Marilyn Monroe had class and dignity and respect for her days Marilyn Monroe her idol and whom she took her blond hair as Jean Harlow had when she had her fame. Jean was the Marilyn Monroe of her day and she respected her. I'm a Marilyn Monroe fan and I defend Marilyn Monroe a legend who is always being used and exploiting for other people's gain. Everyone have respect for legends and please have respect for Marilyn Monroe she deserves it.❤️💕❤️

Unless you’ve actually seen the movie… This situation is more nuanced than you might think and that’s okay. But let’s not waste energy by ranting off to the director, and cast, especially Ana de Armas who “should be held accountable”, when you don’t know the situation she was put in and haven’t seen the movie yet. It’s so much more nuanced than that…🤦🏻‍♀️
