Ana Vidović plays J. S. Bach - Partita in A minor (BWV 1013) at Classical Guitar Days in Split 

The first time I heard Ana play, I could not believe a new player was on the scene delivering such perfection of not only technique but also expression and musical insight. That was years ago, and now we expect that perfection from her every time, and every time, she delivers it. Long may her divine gift grace the lives of those able to appreciate it!

The necessary phrases of this Work are hardly recognisable. That is really a pity, for what remains this way is what we call in German: Sewing engine music. Bach would Not want IT to be Performed this way 🤷

Sarabande is the song I use to wake me up in the morning using my iPhone. This is the first live socially distanced classical guitar performance that I've seen. So glad that it's Ana doing it. The kid who has front row is so lucky...what a privilege. Ana, how you keep your high heels on that footstool and play so beautifully at the same time is amazing girl.

It is superior. Ana plays classic with a phantasmic technique and a lot of emotions.

I'm a begginer and I know I shouldn't be trying to play this, but it's so beautiful the way she plays it I can't help but put in the hours to practice it

I know quite a lot of great guitarists, it's really hard to put someone above others (I won't name them here - they're all great names). But if I count who I listened to the most, then she is most likely Ana. I have to admit that most of the time I not only listen to her, but also watch her game with pleasure ....

Compared to Jorge Caballero Ana uses too much rubato in the first movement. This is her choice, of course, but it's more in keeping with Bach to use less. Otherwise, she is as perfect as usual and I rate her as exquisite in all she does.

She plsys some bass notes. I would love to get her transcription 🎉🎉

Beautifully played. I wish I were a young flute player because if I were, I would commit to be fluent on traverso as well as modern flute. I really prefer this era of music on period instruments (with the exception of piano). I imagine guitar to lute would be an easier double than flute to traverso?

😇Very nice interpretation by Ms. Vidovic. But the sarabande, terribly difficult and enigmatic, is obviously easier on the guitar: polyphonic and harmonic supports clarify a little this piece of abyssal depth, but suddenly make it less mysterious and elusive. The mystery of this unique saraband will not be lifted... Fortunately, Ana’s irresistible talent keeps this aura that only the biggest music pages have... 😇Très belle interprétation de Mme Vidovic. Mais la sarabande, terriblement difficile et énigmatique, est manifestement plus facile sur la guitare : les appuis polyphoniques et harmoniques clarifient un peu cette pièce d'une profondeur abyssale, mais du coup la rendent moins mystérieuse et insaisissable. Le mystère de cette sarabande unique ne sera donc pas levé... Heureusement que le talent irrésistible de Ana lui garde cette aura qu'ont seulement les plus grandes pages de musique...

Cette femme joue vraiment très bien. Avec J.S. Bach on a toujours comme l'impression d'être dans une retraite spirituel.

Was not Bach's stuff created on a piano? And this female, she's got every, flipin, note in there. Super female, hey, bowey. Okay, Ms. High Mighty. In the middle of your recital where your ascending and descending all those notes. Stop, place a bucket of Kentucky fried chicken on the floor, through shirt in the crowd ,,,,grab your Paul Reed Smith with the correct effects set up,, then, Bucket Head all those notes, pour it think straight out rip into with it's all the fury of a hurricane . Then, Tina S, the end like she does with Beethoven's moonlight sonata. Classical female bucket head guitar.

So... fluent. Very nice modulation it's not easy to give soul to Bach's mechanical tempo.

She can play Bach very beautifully; making it sound like a serenade at times does not add to expressivity.

Hola. Me gusta mucho la música, más no clásica. Sin embargo, cuando eventualmente la escucho sobre todo en cuerdas como violonchello, violín o guitarra clásica, sinceramente atrapa y recoge los sentidos. Y al parecer, las personas se abstraen del mundo y aunque sea un momento se vuelven verdaderos humanos. No sé de música. Pero al escuchar a Ana pienso que es una persona virtuosa y qué extraordinario lo que hace pues pone el corazón en su arte.
