As someone who already read the Webtoon- that was still my exact reaction.

Later on in the WebToon it gets better than the anime. But the animes probably trying to capture the art style near the beginning of the trilogy. Edit: The music is Lit.

Every princess is given power by Jahad himself. The power can be inherited, which is why they aren't allowed to love and have children. This means Anaak and Endrossi have the same power, Endrossi just had formal training.

the whole tower is based on the ocean - fishermen, spearbearers, lighthouses , the adaptation choice to make shinsu like water was clever and well done

I may be looking way to into it but this is what I think: (Spoilers kind of) The Jahad princess are like a shoe wardrobe, always admired but never “worn”. In this clip, we see Endorssi wearing quite glamorous shoes, while Anaak is not wearing any type of footwear. This symbolises that Anaak has “left the wardrobe” while Endorssi is still fulfilling her role as Jahad princess and is therefore being strapped down with the rules she has to follow. Of course, this is just my take lol and it might just be there for no reason. Edit: fixing and adding some stuff to make it, make sense.

They can only fit so much in a 13 episode season. Unfortunately everyone won’t get a fully fleshed out backstory.

They will finish telling Anaak's backstory in the next episode. You have to understand that they sadly can't fit everything, they are trying to go with 13 episode because is more easy for people to watch, and there's no other way to end the season that isn't with the season 1 finale. I kinda don't like the fact that they are letting out scenes that are supposed to be impactful or funny. In my opinion season 1 is rich in comedy, there's a lot of iconic jokes, like the Shibisu's baby Johnson part, Khun's town full of hearings or Hatz's dad and Seppuku. They cut that out, but I'm still grateful that at least we got an anime and ToG and SIU are gonna get the recognition they deserve.

Well you can't really say forbidding his daughters to love anyone is a good-guy move, so.

I think he starts out as a typical shonen protaganist but the whole power corrupt thing comes into play. Not evil evil but rules with a iron fist. Their world is a pretty cruel one, we've already seen Anaak's and some of Khuns. It's seven episodes left so we should see Endorsi's. They really aren't his daughters, basically he adopt girls from the elite families, basically keeping those families on a leash as only the best talents become princesses.

@Big Daddy yes , but not necessarily some crazy villain. He had put order into the Tower , but overtime it turned restrictive.

@@jamesowens9944 it's not only the elites , and those princess receives Jahad's blood , enhancing their powers. So the families kinda want at least one member to be a princess. Only 1 family is oposed to that and another is bitter about it.

King Jahad has only definitely appeared once in main story. Although he has been an unseen antagonistic force although he isn't necessarily a bad person. They is still a lot more left to be seen with him
