If you're using Anaconda and python (they are a great choice for data science and data analysis applications), then you should be using environments. I explain why and how to use them in this video.
3 Data Science Learning Platforms I would recommend
1. Data Quest - bit.ly/3hcLjbY (my favourite)
2 Data Camp - bit.ly/39erDk8
3 365 Data Science - bit.ly/3hbUHdd
2 Recommended Python Courses
1. Exploratory Data Analysis with Python and Pandas - bit.ly/2QXMpxJ
2. Complete Python Programmer Bootcamp - bit.ly/2OwUA09

ok, What if I created an environment and installed some module let's say sklearn.. and after that I create an another environment where I also need sklearn and I install it again. Does it take additional space on hard drive?

In a nutshell: Yes the package gets installed for each environment separately.

Thank you for this, this was really really helpful. Can you make a video about packages, libraries and modules (their differences) and what the difference is when you import something, when you import everything and when you write from x import y.This was always a bit confusing for me.

I use virtualenv (venv) and pyenv instead of conda. Is there any specific reason why to switch to conda? Thanks!

conda has easier to remember commands and works across various languages (R and scala for example)

You mentioned that that's the simplest way to do it but, I use anaconda navigator which seems to be a great gooey for adding libraries creating new environments deleting old environments etc. Am I missing something by doing it that way instead of using the command line?

Anaconda and miniconda make working with Python for data science projects very easy.

anaconda is a nice way to accumulate bloat on your system, i wouldn't use it if it isn't absolutely necessary

Is there any reason why most Anaconda users created environments at the default location (C:\Users)? It is so strange that almost everybody does not mention that you can create an environment at different locations.
