Blaine is right on the border with Canada, a quaint little town with a picturesque downtown. These videos are made in real time and not sped up or edited in any way, what I see is what you get. Please enjoy, subscribe, like, and comment :)

I like these ones, as I have lived in Anacortes 3 school years (summer fishing alaska) and have lived briefly in Mt. Vernon, Sedro Woolley, and in now Bellingham basic area since 1980 or 1979 (winter perhaps). Anyway, if you have heard of Sandy Point, west of Ferndale, that is where. (are you port orchard or something? I went treatment at KCARP long ago.Christmas 1983. -Dave and Sunny the half grown round-headed thing with claws that watches over my fridge) haha : )

Once I got to Bellingham I always went to Canada or Mt Baker, never seen much of the area around Bellingham before. There are some state parks up there I keep trying to get to but has not worked out yet.

I've never visited Blaine proper, but I got to visit Birch Bay, not far from there. My niece lives there with her family.

I remember something interesting from years ago. I was taking a Greyhound Bus from Seattle to Bellingham, and we went by Anacortes. There was a woman across the aisle from me who sounded French. She said, "I wonder why it's called Anacort." That would be a French pronunciation of Anacortes. They drop the last syllable with -es. Anacortes sort of looks like a French name. Here's a Wikipedia page that shows it's really named after Anne Curtis Bowman, the wife of an early settler. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anacortes,_Washington

Thanks for the interesting history, I always thought it was from the Canadian/French times and the fur trapper companies back in the day.
