My grandmother wore this. It has an innocence and purity but not in a fake way. It's innocence is still sensual. I wear it on occassion and it is very green. There is a fairytale vibe to this fragrance. Nonetheless it's not pretentious but respectable with that hyacinth. It is perfect for spring but i wear in winter. I live in NYC..staten Island and most women wear Victoria's secret or heavier scents. There's something pure about anais anais
ANAIS ANAIS was my sister’s signature scent when we were teenagers. I remember the whole of upstairs smelling of this fragrance every morning before heading off to high school. Good memories. 🥰
This was my first perfume ever, a gift from my mom. I wore it all through my early teens, and all the memories of rainy fairs, afternoons listening to The Beatles, and going wild in the hills are attached to this scent... so definitely impish 😄 Finally got a new bottle and I love it, timeless and beautiful. Just subscribed to you :) Thanks for the review.
Thanks ever so much for subscribing that is very kind. Yes it's an impish fairy 🧚♂️ fragrance. It's bold and dances around you like a naughty fairy! What lovely memories you have 😀💞
I remember Anais Anais very well. I loved your description of it, fairies drawing you into the deep forest and then it really opens up. I just remember it being so floral and almost addicting. As always, great review♥️
@@thefragrantician I used to wear it as a young teenager and went back to it in my late 30s, it still speaks to my soul, it seems:) I only don0t like the fact that it doesn't exist as an EDP (I don't think at least), it could have some more longevity and I'm a sucker for unique or pretty bottles and this one is neither. But I let it pass for this one :)
Hey there my dear!! Girl!! I wore Anais Anais for YEARSSSSSS. I loved it so much, and recently could not wear it anymore. That doesn't mean it's not still beautiful. You described it well, as always. You do these fragrances serious justice with your descriptions. 😊😊😊
Thank you Veronica. That's is very appreciated. I like to tell the fragrance thsn just more than notes and who would love it. It's up to the person to make thier mind up. It is an appreciated fragrance by many. I am loving my cacharel fragrances. 💖
My very first perfume i was 13 and it was 1983 i will always have a soft spot for this one. Ive currently got anais anais premier delice its a fresh fruity floral and smells not like my baby. I need to revisit this one xx
Brava! 100%! I love your description. This fragrance reminds me of my youth, and smelling the reformulation makes me sad, really. It's just not as sparkly or powdery. It's totally a "time capsule" fragrance - well said! You nailed this one, Gaby! Loved it! xo
Yes the reformulated version smells more bleh 😢to me anyway. I want a fragrance to be sickening in a good way as mama Ru says 😀❤💖😀 Thanks my scent sister 😘💕
@@chloeg2891 that's great to hear. 😀😍 the old packaging is the same as the one in this video. When you check a batch video go on cosmeticchecker.net and type in the brand and code. This should tell you the year it was made even the month sometimes! Good luck 👍 💓 ✨ 💗
This was my first $$ perfume, I wore this for many years and it's was my signature scent. To this day when people smell it, they think I me. I did notice they changed the formula.
What a lovely review! This was my first perfume, my mom gift it to me when I was 15, and became my forever favourite. Yes, it is all flowers, powder and fairies, some of my favourite things. I believe we all find our signature fragrance at some point, this one and Estee Lauder pleasures are my own ones. The deisgners were real geniuses
That movie sounds like so much fun Gabi! I love Twiggy and Glenda Jackson! I love this review! You are such a wonderful story teller! I could listen all day! Lisa
Iam looking for the casharel anis anis that has the woody and incense notes along with floral. Not the one with just the floral can u plz tell me where to find it
So glad you're not reviewing "l'original", which is a nightmare. Anais Anais was my fragrance when I was a teen in the 1980s. The earliest boxes were pale green color. This was so pretty. They ruined it completely. They also ruined Ysatis
Oops! I bought the new reformulated potion (L'original) before seeing this! 😩 I didn't love it or hate it. After much searching, I did find an original. Awaiting the arrival. Looking forward to the comparison. 🦋 I enjoyed the video and find it fascinating how you magically interpret the world through scent. ❤️ New subscriber!
@@andresgaray1246They are cut from the same cloth and quite similar, however, the original is stronger, spicier, and has a definite bite.🧚🏼 It makes more of a statement, has greater projection and lasts longer. The reformulated is lighter and just a bit sweeter. I prefer the original. If you're in the mood for that sassy, mischievous, intoxicating, forest fairy vibe, you will own it with one spray.🥰
This was the first perfume my first high school boyfriend gave me in the 80’s. I hated it so much, but i hate floral scents. I have not smelled it since then, over 30 years ago. I’d be curious to see how I’d feel about it now
I love Anais Anais and the way you described it is perfect: a fairy forest fragrance! There's only one perfume I like even more: Loulou, which I find even more wicked! Oh, and what about Loulou Blue? Ahhh, Cacharel's amazing! Thx so much for your beautiful review!
Probably one of the first perfumes I ever bought for myself, I thought I was well posh when I wore it, this was a must have back in the day 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 I remember the advert 🙌🏽❤️
Did you just say KFC BUCKET ?!?! 😂 I love that analogy 😁 you know i love food… Anais Anais was my bestfriend’s signature scent. That was her first perfume that she bought for herself … 🤍 Dark fairies, elves, debauchery, carnal s*x…. Witches… spell… That image / scene connection alone is enough to make me want to get it ! 🧐
It has airyness and grenness yet it has a bit of debauchery from the spicy florals and moss....just imagine rolling around in the moss! You need to see that scene from the the film to envisage it. It's an amazing musical of a film with Twiggy!
