I was really torn seeing Hayden press the glass eye to activate his lightsaber. Up until that moment I wanted to keep continuity with the Graflex. I have since installed my Aniflex to match the activation in Ahsoka.
Hey amazing video, exactly what I was looking for. If I may add you said that the ahsoka gold switch was longer, making it a GEN 1 of TXQ and since the GEN 1 had brushed aluminum mid section it couldn't be. well the brass is actually a V3, the V2 is just like the brass but aluminum with some small differences like color of red buttons, switch, and in some cases retention screw in the middle. It has chrome mid section, which will indicate that they used a V2 TXQ for ahsoka. Please confirm this if you'd like, I'm just going based on my own experience. Thanks for the great videos
@aquadan3592 Yes, previously it was thought that the version used in Ahsoka was a V1 since no one actually paid any attention to TXQ until the Ahsoka show. After more research, both James Xie (TXQ CEO) and I agree that it was a V1.5: That is, the version that is aluminum, chromed clamp, longer gold switch and includes the static pommel
Thank you for the great comparison. I wanna buy the txq version but as far as i know it has a lot of blade depth so im thinking if i should still get the 32 inch blade or if it feels too short but on the other side i don't want the 36 inch version to be way too long, what could you recommend ? Usually i would go with 32..🤔
Thanks for watching! Personally I’d always go with a 36” for the most accuracy. I would only go with a 32” if you’re planning on doing tricks VERY often
