He just vanished because they don't remain as physical ghosts all the time. But their consciousnesses are one with the Force. Canonically Anakin appears to Luke decades later in the book "Shadow of the Sith"

In the secrets of the Jedi guide book, Luke says he talked to the force ghosts of his father, Obi wan and Yoda frequently over the years before he cut him self off in exile

@@jaieregilmore971 It is not a fact that Anakin's ghost died, he could temporarily fall into a Sith trap or return to the spirit world due to the fact that there were Sith artifacts in that temple. His voice appears both in episode 9 and in the comics, Anakin's ghost helps his descendants.

The only ones to fully master the transcendence into the force were obi yoda and Luke so it makes perfectly sense.

Anakin also merged with the force and disappeared off-screen, leaving only Vader's armor, suit and prosthetics, according to information on the official website. Because they died at that moment where you saw them and were content. Anakin died when Vader came to be. Then he was reborn. It's his soul. There never was the Shaw Anakin at any point. He would either be husk Anakin (themathically awfull) or Hayden Anakin.

@@dancorneanu9144 If Anakin died when he became Vader, then there wasn't any good left in him and Vader was never redeemed. It only makes sense for Anakin's redemption if he redeemed himself at the end and died as a Jedi saving Luke, and would therefore appear at his age when he died on the Death Star. I understand why they wanted to use Hayden in the scene, but it contradicts Anakin's redemption arc if that's the point where he "died."

@@Ladco77 It's metaphorical death and coming back. The good in Vader was Anakin. Hayden is playing the good in him. By coming back and killing Vader and the Emperor, he got redeemed. I's a common morality tale. Fall-death and redemption=rebirth. You can have it appear even in many works, including in anime, where the good is shown as the self before the fall. Anakin had good. He was the good. He is the Jedi. He is the father who sacrificed himself for his son. The age where he died on the deathstar would include all the consequences and corruption brought on by the years of Vader. He would either be a floating, half burned corpse or Vader. It's like redeeming a demon and having him show up as a demon. Both represent the evil, thus neither can be shown. Shaw was in his 60s and by Obi wan, Anakin was quite young. He should be in his 40s. Obi Wan spent decades on a dried up hellhole, so you can have him look a bit older. So would Owen and Beru. Sun damages the skin. Anakin had no such excuse. So the explanation was Dark Side damages the wielder. A consequence of his actions.
