This is part 4 of my series about taking pictures with the Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta (513/16) with its Tessar 75mm f 3.5 lens from the 50s.
This is my first video in english - because I was speaking english with my model, the turkish soprano, opera singer Deniz Yetim. Deniz is performing at Theater Regensburg. I was taking photos with her and I wanted to test the performance of the Super Ikonta in black and white portraiture.
My conclusion: I am really happy with the results. All the pictures have a classic touch. They are really not modern: paired together with a classic B/W film this old Tessar lens is producing pictures in the style of the 50s. For me this is a perfect combination and the character of the pictures is unique.
I shot Ilford HP5+ and FP4. FP4 was developed in 510 Pyro, HP5+ was developed in HC 110.
Deniz was shooting HP5+ on my Minolta XD7, also developed in HC 110.
