Very intrigue of this simple concept!! Unfortunately for me, a To-Do list paper is not a good investment right now. But I will definitely go back to check this out in a few years, as the system seems so pleasant. I love the filming & editing of the video, by the way.
It's not just a notepad, it's how it's organized that's important. You don't need Analog, you can just use a notebook or index card with the same system of organization.
what exactly have you invented, marketed and then sold? what color is your Bugatti? you don’t have to use or buy this if you don’t want, i’d just move on brother 🤷🏼♂️
For the Analog by ugmonk, I will not be using any electronics or apps to assist the cards. I want to keep everything strictly offline. I just want to use the cards by themselves to keep up with daily task and nothing else. I don’t want anything to do with digital tools. Does that work to? Sorry for the bother, I’m about to order them online as soon as I get a reply. I just want to know if this is the right item for me.
@@ugmonkstudio Well I have loved it, I ordered it just before finals ! it's been really helpful In the summer holidays I didn't use as much I should have TL;DR great product
For me the Bullet Journaling is more practical to use and thr system for todo is almost the same but it gives me much more. I can recommend thr Bullet Journal system to everyone that likes to integrate digital/analog.
I went down the same rabbit hole trying to design a minimalist to-do list system, but the hangup with paper is always reordering (i.e. you can’t add something to the middle of the list without rewriting it). I tried cutting my to-do’s into 1” strips, but then it’s just messy. Probably the ideal would be some kind of e-ink notecard where you could drag-and-drop to reorder tasks. But until then, well done on the notecard design!
Thanks! Yeah, I agree. There are obvious limitations of paper like not being able to easily reorganize, but I've found that rewriting my cards actually helps me to continue reprioritizing vs. just carrying over things without thinking about it. Digital is great for capturing when I'm on the go though.
It looks like what you're looking for it's called reMarkable, have been using for a while now, and it's really awesome... Just a notebook, no notifications or apps, just pen and paper but digital.
@@lucasgiovannifarina358 Yea, I tried the Boox Air 2 a few months ago, which is similar, but realized a tablet is a bit clunky for managing a to-do list. Have a Highsense e ink phone on the way, and it'll be interesting to see how it works.
I find this to be compelling content. I read a similar book that revolutionized my thinking. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze
Thx for the ideas. I will grab a piece of wooden and make it myself for like 10 $. Sorry, great idea but this thing is overlized at maximum. But people will buy it I guess. So congratulations for your business. :)
All this productivity systems and “gurus” try to sell this things as if they are innovative. Note cards? please… You know what is still a great invention? sticky notes, AKA Post it
Works great if your life is so simple you can fit everything on three cards. I appreciate prioritizing Today on one card. But if you have 50+ projects all moving forward in parallel- it does not fit on one “Next” card. The “Someday” card is even worse, with all of the unfunded or unstaffed projects (each of which have multiple next actions) that would struggle to fit on a dozen+ of your Someday cards. I am envious - wish my life could fit on 3 cards; I estimate I’d need 100+ cards based upon my JIRA boards. Nice idea but not scalable for real life outside your marketing world.
Is it compatible with upclick? If so, does it need any kind of authentication? I’d like to use it in conjunction with my work tasks, but I also don’t want it to be a pain to setup and manage.
I don't get it. Where is the benefit over a notebook with Bullet Journal syntax? It's more portable, archives and sorts by date automatically and can be expanded far beyond the limits for a single card.
For sure! You can use the cards by themselves to manage your tasks. This works best for solo work vs. working with a team where you also need the digital component.
@@ugmonkstudio One last thing, I will buy this item as soon as you reply, so just to clarify. It says that Analog is a “physical companion for your digital tools”. I will not be using any digital tools. I will not use websites or online resources. I will not use any electronics or apps to assist me writing down my daily task on the cards. I want to keep everything strictly offline and ONLY use the cards to help me with my daily task. Only the cards and nothing else at all. Does analog work this way? Will it still be beneficial for me to use like this? I will not use analog as a physical companion for digital tools because I will not be using any digital tools.
@@balloutlaker3882 100%. Analog can be used as a stand alone system without using any digital counterpart. In fact if you are using without any digital tools alongside it, you'll probably make more use out of the Next and Someday cards and find other creative ways to use those cards to help you organize all of your tasks.
I like to store them on top of the metal divider so they are easy to access, but stay out of sight. Here's a little more about how Analog works: ugmonk.com/analog-tips
