thanks a million, i listened to my lecturer about this poem but it seemed so complicated considering the language barrier. however after watching ur video, I feel much more confident that I will ace this. i am now heading over to part 2.
I think that “while thy hook spares the next swath” could also be Keats praising Autumn’s omnipotence by relating it to the Grim Reaper, which decides who dies. Autumn could choose not to provide food and leave humans to die, but doesn’t, so it’s both omnipotent and omnibenevolent
Such an amazing analysis ,this video was a life saving ,thank you so much but i have a question our teacher said that keats in the 2nd stanza is representing autumn as a figure of a woman or a goddess on the contrary you said he is representing autumn as a fellow worker which one is right ?
Hi there - I've been thinking a lot about your comment. I won't lie, the thought that people are taking my content but aren't crediting my for it is quite frustrating. I work very hard to make these resources, and hearing that some people are going out of their way (covering my face??) to not credit me feels quite disappointing. BUT the main aim with everything I do is to just help people out. If my content is being used in your school, I hope yourself and the rest of the students are finding it to be beneficial! And if copying my content and getting rid of my face makes the lives of your teachers that little bit easier (teachers work exceptionally hard, I can promise you that), well... I guess that's okay too. I'd obviously still prefer some credit or acknowledgement from your school though 😂
Thank you for making these videos! Could you say that keats mirrors sounds at the beginning and end of many lines in stanza one to emphasise the cicular nature of the seasons?? ( season/fruitfulness, close/sun, swell/shells )
for the question “the abundance of nature imagery in this stanza, Where is it, and what could that abundance represent” that could represent food🤷🏾♀️ because obviously when he was writing this poem he knew that he had a short time and also this is an ode so this could represent that if you’re eating food it’s obviously gone and you should appreciate more since you know that I was going to die🤷🏾♀️ idk
Hiya Chelsea - I don't think I'll be able to make an analysis of that poem any time soon, but I've done some searching and it seems that the channel 'ANO SENSEI!' has got an analysis of the poem - that might be helpful for you! 😊
