Do you all understand that there are no Chinese EV's available for sale in the USA? None of them pass DOT highway safety standards. You cannot import a Chinese electric vehicle even if you're a millionaire, They are just not available, or if you can get one you will not be able to get it licensed to operate on a public street.

Can you give me a source for your claim? I’ve been looking and I’m not seeing anything tied to DOT regulations. I did hear an interview with a BYD spokesperson, she said not in the USA until they relax some of their regulations. She could have been referring to that but I want complete clarity. Thanks!

China doesn't need to retaliate because its ME!!! I am paying the tariff! Price increase at Walmart, Target, Costco, my 70% sourced from China/MADE IN HOUSTON USA $40K offroad camper, and Amazon! Econ 101. Haven't we had ENOUGHT INFLATION!!! Thanks to Trump. Oh yeah, Trump wants to add 60% tariff and thinks overnight we will develop factory to replace everything made in China, they have polished their skills over the last 40 yrs and we can't even fix a pothole anymore. It's never coming back, it was made in Japan, Taiwan, S. Korea, China and soon Thailand, Vietnam. That's how we maintain our standard of living. I cannot afford a pair of $400 Nike made in Chicago! Okay? :) China is becoming rich so they are moving factories to South East Asia... the wheel turns. China unfortunately is like 20 Japan and 50 Taiwan... so we have to figure out how to slow their grow and not bring the world down to the knee. It may backfire however like how we cut off chips to Taiwan, and forced Taiwan (Chinese Nationalists btw) to become the Chip leader today!

Electric vehicles are not practical or reliable in extreme cold weather scenarios. In many ways the technology is just not there yet. And by the way how much fossil fuel is used to build the electric vehicles and the batteries. They are talking out of their ass and I'm getting tired of it

This is silly.... the US average human should not be proud on this.... they just have to pay more with less quality products as competitor are cut and improvement is not necessary for the auto giant in the US.... the coverage area for the charging station will also be limited without the help of those good chinese evs company..... 1st they take away your voice, and now they take away your choice....is a free world anyway....
