When farmers have been slaughtered in their farm lands by Fulani herdsmen for the past eight years under the watch of past government and their crops eaten by their cattles. The surviving farmers are still stranded in IDP camps and cannot return to their farms to farm. The few farm products are smuggled through the porous borders in the North to neighbouring countries deliberately and on a regular basis Why will the cost of food not be high? The solution is simple. State governors must be held responsible to ensure and provide security for their farmers to go back to farming. Infact everyone should be committed to food production no matter how little it might be. Security for farmers and everyone in the country must be our main concern first and foremost and other matters can follow suit. Peaceful protests achieve better results than a violent protest that results in loss of lives and destruction of properties.
