Although Tae would definitely defend army he's also the first one to call army out on any bullshit behavior, he's so honest and doesn't have a tolerance for disrespectful or delusional behavior and there have been multiple occasions that he's expressed his distaste for certain behaviors right to us directly, like on weverse for example, it's usually very funny and it's why we love him, he's a breath of fresh air (for top top army defenders i'd say that title goes to namjoon, jungkook and jimin, but ofc they all defend us all the time)

Also, for the longest time, jimin and Jhope were roommates, Jimin always said that he needed Jhope because he needed someone to accompany him. He doesn't like to be lonely.

Jin has said before that he just wants to be happy. That's his goal in life. RM and Jimin have said that Jin has taught them alot in how to just be happy and enjoy life.

22:30 RM and Jin actually had a discussion similar to this topic in In the Soop 2, they were all having dinner and Jin says something along the lines of “I feel really bad for RM cause earlier today he told me that it’s hard for him to just rest and have fun” Basically RM was confiding in Jin letting him know that taking breaks like they were doing in in the soop were difficult for him because he’s constantly thinking about work. In the midst of the discussion Jin also expressed admiration for RM’s ability to work so hard and they even joked that they wished they could take each part of their personalities (RM who works hard all the time and Jin who is really good at relaxing and enjoying the moment) and put them all into one person. They each also said that when they are feeling conflicted (Jin sometimes feels like he rests too much and should do more and RM feels like he should learn to relax a little more) they each think “what would Jin/RM do?” Ultimately they concluded that it’s good that the two of them are on the same team cause then they could encourage one another and inspire one another.

Concerning Jin, you also have to remember, he was really the only one of the boys who got to experience "normal" young adult life before they debuted, including college. Suga was already neck-deep in trying to make it in the music industry in his teens. Jin is really the only one who may be able to truly understand what they gave up in their youth to reach where they are today, from an experiential level.

25:25 - In the opening paragraph of a magazine interview with V, the writer said that in one part of the interview, V got so excited about a question and started talking non-stop. The writer invited us to guess which part when reading the article. Sure enough, it was when V answered a question about ARMY. RM is going to get his wish. He's holding an intimate concert with just 200 people in early December.

Jimin has a lot of filters. I think I started to understand him more once he became my bias and I started to watch more of his vlives and a lot of Jimin focused compilation videos that takes moments from a lot of places. He can be really vulnerable and open which we see more in his vlives when he talk directly to armies, or sassy, or goofy which we see more in run bts. But he is still a bit mysterious to me and I think that’s also his charm. Even the way he presents himself has a duality. Like you said he is sitting in a very classy, put together, gracious way, which I think it’s more the contemporary dancer in him. When he stands too, we call it the ballet posing, his footwork are like a ballet dancer lol. But in run bts setting or like soop, he is completely loose and you can see more of his goofiness.

I wish we could all have a Hobi in our lives 💜

Jin is unpredictable and that put RM on defense . He never knew what Jin is going to do or say. He becomes even more nervous when Jin and Jk are together because they behave spontaneously and chaotic.

I think you’re spot on about Namjin’s dynamics. I also think RM needs to be in control and JIn is always so unpredictable! That’s why I love to watch Namjin vlive moments. It’s so fun to see RM becomes speechless under JIn’s random and chaotic behaviours!

Interesting that you pointed out Hobi (and ofc the other guys) trying to take the leadership role off of namjoons shoulders at 11:45 because Hobi especially really tends to have namjoons back in terms of leadership, one example that stands out to me is when they were doing an english interview and they had a translator but because namjoon could speak english the translator wasn't doing their job and namjoon was getting frustrated trying to get his point across as well as everyone else's and hobi noticed and basically told him to not translate anymore and got the translator to do their job

36:55 yes to jimin catching onto the members facial expressions changes no matter how minuscule it is! he actually entertains the boys a lot by mimicking them. there’s a documentary (‘break the silence’) clip of the boys eating dinner and of jimin mimicking each members faces/body manners when they cry while all the boys laugh with him at his accuracy😭😭 also another clip (forgot where it’s from) where he also mimics yoongi avoiding eye contact when he tried to make eye contact w him in a similar fashion🤭

Jimin addressing Hobi…They were roommates for the longest time, and both have said that they are the most alike in personality, and should always live together, and Joon even teased that Hobi is always number 1 with Jimin, so there is definitely a deep bond between them, they adore and appreciate, and understand each other in a unique way. I love JiHope, such a wonderful duo 💜💜

I think V has become more reserved as he’s gotten older and he’s generally never been one whose strength is verbalizing his thoughts on the spot. But one thing he is always willing to share and is confident about is army. He doesn’t reveal much about himself overall, but he will always talk about his feelings for army. They are all very grateful for where they are and how army played a big part in that. Endlessly humble!

Time and time again, BTS have mentioned how much they appreciate Hoseok. In Festa 2019, they mentioned how Hobi listens to them all the time, how he holds back his opinions at the end after listening to everyone's ideas. He has been and will always be there for the members. To be a ready ear, to be a supportive hyung or whatever he needs to be for his dear members.

I think Jimin appears to focus on Hobi when he speaks because, Jimin, too, is a big listener, just in a slightly different way - he’s so in tune with everyone else’s emotions; and I think that of all the members, Hobi is the one who really is aware of HIS feelings; so, he trusts that Hobi really listens to him (and vice versa). I believe Jimin is also very tight-lipped about his personal thoughts and feelings and there are a couple of reasons for that: 1) it’s just natural to listen and not talk (about himself); and 2) he’s the one who’s been targeted with the most hate online. The two of them are the most caring of the group. They are also best of friends, so that’s also a factor; in fact, Hobi knows Jimin is in tune with his feelings and a good example of that is he took time out to fly to Chicago and support Hobi for his Lolapalooza debut - and as we know from the VLive ne did afterwards, Hobi WAS, in fact, in desperate need of that support - Jimin was the one who came through, as he always does for Hobi. All in all, they have a very strong, very special bond.

RM is effective at controlling the team. But probably conflicted with Jin's unpredictable chaos, while also having to be respectful to the oldest member. Their dynamic requires a lot of trust with each other.

25:34 Tae gets emotional and active whenever it is about human connections, whenever he talks about ARMY, his parents and family, his friends... it's actually quite endearing. And what's makes it even more special, is that he doesn't shy away from addressing bad or delusional behaviour from the fans, this makes his interactions and love sincere and more friend-like than fan to idol interaction

I love the mystery around their private lives as it should be … Probably one of the reasons why Jin is my bias … he has set clear boundaries between his private and professional life .. he shares, just enough to let us know he values us at the same time he keeps his privacy to himself …

Jimin was tricky to understand and read when he wasnt my bias, I couldnt understand how he worked at all. Hes very different. Im still being surprised by him now that hes been my bias for 5 years

hobi really gives all of himself to everything he does, I've come to notice he gives every part of him to a conversation, carefully listening and paying attention to others, reacting and responding to everyone, putting all of his energy into his work, giving his spotlight to the members and bts, really, he's an extremely selfless person and never even mentions all of the sacrifices he does and the toll that might take on him

Yes, Jin has shared that his philosophy of resting is actually resting …. So him trying to get theirselves some private time to do things they like makes sense … RM strives to be like Jin while he rests.. And Jin strives to be like RM while resting 😂 they have confessed

V is the most open with his feelings, he shows his heart in his hand , talks directly without beating around the bush, if he feels something or someone is being hurt he is the first person to speak to them or about the situation, he listens for real , even at the beginning all the members where in awe of how well he knew their habits and how they felt about everything,in a radio interview he got all the answers right about all of them , Taehyung is a great listener and very observant, he doesn’t talk much in the group rather observe and listen, he shows his love for the members and army in the most open and overwhelming way like he hugs and kiss their forehead he is always described as a caring loving innocent and kind by his friends in and out of BTS.

Wonderful video! I pulled a lot from what you said, particularly interested in the comments you made centering Hoseok and Seokjin. Hoseok definitely plays a very interesting role in the group dynamic. It was fun to see you break down small pieces of it, like Jimin continually looking to him for a reaction (I wonder also if that is in part due to their long history as roommates lol). I remember that in the past he has been noted by all the others as very attentive and a good listener which may be more overlooked for how energetic he comes across. The comment you made about Seokjin being maybe the most at odds with their lifestyle due to his own simple desires is super fascinating. It’s not something I’ve ever thought about specifically, but it truly makes so much sense. He definitely only seems to need a few things in his life to be satisfied for how much is going on with all of them all the time for the past decade. I feel like that may be a big part of his appeal, for as big of a star as he is it makes him feel still down to earth and easy to connect to. Super interesting observations all around!

J-Hope is definitely recognized by the members as the second leader, but as you pointed out, they all tend to step up when it's something that they happen to be individually good at. For example, J-Hope is good at dance and performances in general, while Suga brings analytical insights, not to mention his songwriting and production skills. Actually, the rapline all bring impressive songwriting skills to the table -- and this is one of the main reasons why BTS is BTS. Big Hit took a totally different approach to choosing the members, especially the rapline, than the traditional idol-selection approach. All three of them were already established for their respective talents. This already is a big step towards democratizing and diversifying the leadership role in the group. The entire group has matured and they recognize their strengths and weaknesses and have somehow managed to pool their leadership resources. All of them have a unique skill and I think they are given the space to express it -- which is another reason why BTS is BTS. And finally, none of this would be possible if it weren't for the example that RM sets. So kudos to him for being a true leader and recognizing each member's skill and giving it a place to shine.

KIM SEOKJIN, I ADMIRE YOU✨🤴🏻💜🌹JIN loves army like no one else, he always thinks of others first before him.

V has a big conection with army .He come time to time and talk with us like a friend .He is so sensitive person as well .He is a great person with beautifull feelings

As far as Jimin looking to Hobi first, I think that's totally accurate. And there are a lot of reasons but I think it just boils down to Jimin being a person who seeks out validation and Hobi being a person who is overflowing with enthusiasm for sincerely validating people. I'm such a Jimin. I relate to him a lot and I get it. He likes making people laugh, he likes being acknowledged and heard and making an impression, and Hobi is naturally someone who sincerely HEARS and SEES people. And he adores Jimin so the impact of it is exponential. He gets so much genuine joy out of who Jimin is as a person and Jimin just blossoms under that attention. It's really a perfect match. They fill in each other's gaps, they are alike enough to be compatible but different enough to challenge each other, they have complementary senses of humor and so many values and interests in common, and they have a natural chemistry that makes banter and affection really easy for them both. I've just never seen a pair so well-matched in every way. And they're just a joy to watch. All I want in life is a Hobi to my Jimin.

The jacket in the picture that Jimin showed was from Hobi, that's why Hobi said he was touched. But it was originally from Suga who gave to Hobi, then Hobi gave it to Jimin.

Tae just reminds me of a sibling that 'picks' on you all the time (out of love of course), but when someone else does it he'll be the first to fight that person, because he's the only one allowed to 'tease' you.

You are so right about Tae. He’s the one that spends the most time on weverse communicating with armys. He even calls us his bestfriends💜 I really love his honesty. He is so genuine and raw

I think jimin just likes showcasing how much he knows the members, he takes pride in it, I don’t see it as deflecting at all personally

really love the part you say tae is a really deep emotions person who love seeing people expressing their vulnerability. damn right. also, how hobi always acknowledges people who speak by giving a reaction back. love it. the part u mention on jimin defense mechanism on vulnerability and being good at reading people's emotions, really gave me insight, i never thought about it that way. and i feel its really relatable now, and i gained insight on some self awareness, and some friends who are great at reading others too.

Omg I definitely agree with what you said about Jimin. He has that ability to read people that helps him to say the right things at the right timing. And in various occasions I’ve noticed that Jimin sometimes didn’t share anything personal during group conversation and kind of deliberately shift the attention to other members to talk. He’s extremely careful when he speaks, never see him slip or do anything lame unless intentionally.

What I like about Tae.. he calls a spade a spade.. he does not know how to sugarcoat.. hence whatever he says about ARMY feels even more special.

you’re spot on with namjins (namjoon and jin) dynamic, and i think that’s why they’re one of the most popular duos in the group. their interactions are usually just chaos and they’re interesting and cute when they’re together. namjoon never misses the chance to compliment jin and vice versa.

22:22 Imo Jimin said it very well during a Vlive: "Jin taught me a lot about how to have fun and enjoy life". I feel like Jin offsets the workaholics/perfectionists of the group and kind of "reigns them in" when they get too hard on themselves which we know Jimin has a tendency to be.

jimin and hobi's relationship is very understated, I think, they are really really close, but aren't loud about it which is why people don't talk about it too much either

As someone whose mother tongue isn't English, I really enjoy the way you speak. I find it very classy and educated and I try to learn the way you use your words. I also really enjoy your videos (mostly BTS contents), and I get super excited whenever I see there is a new BTS reaction from you. however like you said yourself, please react to their vlives and other types of videos as well, as I feel like their personalities aren't quite shown in these videos. Like usually Jimin is way more lively and playful and fun, same as JK, but they tend to be on the quieter side in most of the videos you've watched so far. And also thank you for your enjoyable and educational videos🤗

It’s so easy to fall for all of them because you know there’s things you don’t know despite how much they share and that’s intriguing, but the longer you listen and watch, the more grateful you become that they actually have a private life.

yeah jimin can be really hard to pin down. After watching him for so long, i can see the way he puts up walls, yet is the one that likes to talk about emotions the most.

Definitely, BTS is my happy place. It's where I escape to from my daily stresses. These boys don't know how much they've done to help so many people like me. They're absolute angels.

In one of the recent game collabs they did, they actually called J-Hope a cheerleader in one of the episodes. I can't think of a better description for this amazing man. He will support everyone. He was very interested in watching I-land, which created Enhypen. He showed up to a practice for &Team before they debuted. He and Jimin went back stage at Lollapalooza to support TxT, who performed the night before him.

Max, you are so perceptive, and I learned so much! Also, thanks for publishing this before Thanksgiving. There was something comforting and encouraging about it, to watch before the big family gathering.

I just binged all your bts videos and I must say it’s heartwarming to see you go from referring to them as ‘the one in the black shirt’ or the ‘one with the purple hair’ to hobi and joon and other nicknames 💜

All members have their own strengths but V is the one we normally reminds members to take it easy to the point that they use his Dad's saying of "it's no big deal" he is call the happiness preacher by the members and is the one to normally plan dinners so all members can spend time together. He does get enough credit for it but all members have consistently said this is what Tae did for them over the years.

Yeah V is way too genuine and pure, he is never conscious about how many cameras are around or how many people are sitting around, he is very confident and genuine in whatever he does and say and he is the only Bts member who has been same confident since first day of their debut..other members grew and developed personalities with time but V always had a very unique and confident personality which was way too genuine so people or Army connected most with him and also to tell you V is a man of principles and values and if anyone tries to Be disrespectful or immoral, V takes no time to Teach them or show them right Way, he is a man of principles✌...Thats why he is loved the most..he is most biased Member in kpop world and has biggest fandom in whole kpop world..His fans are damn loyal and love him Like no one💜💜

Jimin and JHope have aleays been tbe roommates in their previous dormitory life and even on tours.

In an interview recently, j-hope said his best quality is that he's "embracing." He meets people where they are and can adapt to be a good foil to whatever personality he encounters. He's good at understanding people's needs and filling that space. Like he knows what your love language is and adapts his behavior or actions to fulfill that, for example. It's such a rare and special skill and it makes you really understand why so many of the boys have said so often that he was like the social center of the group bringing and binding them all together and they couldn't make it without him.

BTS is definitely one of my happy places. I don't know how I would have made it through the past several years without them.

Tae is like friend to Army, so he is very protective and also very honest about what he thinks about some of fandom's behaviour but i think the one who is the most sentimental about ARMY is Jungkook. i think it includes Armys when he said "i'm also hurt when the members are hurt". i don't think he usually cries for himself but Army is his soft spot, the moment he starts to speak about his love for army he starts crying. i don't think anyone can love their fans as much as him, it sometimes comes as unbelievable

HOBI=second leader (RM has even said this and most ARMY know this)…He is like the leader behind the scenes… Also I think it is important to note that Jimin and Hobi were roommates for years. They have talked about how close they are and how comfortable they are with one another.

Thanks for this one Max! Loved re-watching this Festa in your company :). You made me realise (around 27:45) that Jin manages to treat himself with grace, which I admire a lot about him. He tries to convey this to the other members as well. Such a warm, healthy, and human thing to do.

17:12 Jimin and Hobi are very similar persons. They were roommates for years. They are really like brothers but more friends. So they understand eatch others so well, just by look at other. So Jimin knows that Hobi will reach. And they are natural leaders. Hobi as Danceleader with Jimin assistant him, helps. And Jimin is leaders leader like you said. He dont wanna take spotlight from leaders, but if needs he leads

Namjoon is not always in charge of leading, in a way, like.. the others surely help, specially when recording content for us, like Run BTS, Yoongi has been the MC a lot of times. Jin too. it's so nice, it's nice to see Namjoon relaxing a bit, just being goofy in the background or something 😅

Suga has always chaired the Festa dinners, since 2014. He's great at it, keeping them on track but cracking up with them too. I felt his best personality came out at those dinners, and I think he was the same behind the scenes with the guys all these years.

I just found this channel and your voice is so relaxing. You’re so on about how BTS videos can just put you in the zone of a happy space and your analysis adds another layer to it which I really appreciate.

i really love how much you appreciate yoongi’s honest and sincere personality. Esp recognizing how much of a big heart he has and the love he has for the members is so so important since he often gets misunderstood as being cold and indifferent. I mean people soon realize how wrong they are after checking out more of their content and the members never let us forget how no one beats him when it comes to taking care of them but it’s great that you were picking up on that since the beginning of your journey! And i definitely get you on feeling more connected to him when he’s addressing ARMYs, it always feels like i am on facetime with a trusted close friend whenever he’s on vlive, his blunt but funny answers, his comforting and encouraging words, his wisdom… his lyricism and how candid he is about his struggles in his music has always resonated with me and made me feel seen but even the way he communicates with us has healing properties so i’ll always be grateful to have yoongi in my life

Definitely recommend watching the lollapalooza behind episode,jimin and hobi's bond shines through it and you will also get a glimpse on what type of an artist hoseok is. Love your videos by the way !!

Jimin is the cutest person on this Earth! He is so pretty in and out! I think his soul and heart are as beautiful as his face. He is my bias. Suga seems to be total opposite but it´s not true, I find them similar, I don´t know why. On the outside different but inside similar. Suga is my bias wrecker. :)

RM has said in the past that if he were to pick any of the members to be leader instead of him that he’d pick J-Hope. And outside of the promotional stuff - in their daily lives - the members say that j-hope is their leader. You can very much see this dynamic when you see their reality shows (Bon Voyage, In The Soop), the older members and J-hope usually take over when it comes to running things (Jin and SUGA cook, J-hope cleans and helps organize things). Also J-Hope is their dance leader too. He takes the lead when it comes to rehearsals and all their performances. So the members really look up to him for wisdom and to help him run things. Hobi is very much their second leader. 💜😍

If V had to sum himself up with an action, it would be his recent photoshoot called Veautiful. You get glimpses of him on vlives but that photo shoot really tell you the soul of V.

32:22 those are my kids took me out 🤣🤣🤣 One army did call tae "daddy" as flirting in weverse and replied "yes daughter" 🤣🤣🤣 There was also a running joke in 2020 that tae babysat army on weverse with how much time he spent with us and how many comments, posts and event he held on the app just to make sure no one went out in crowded places

Jimin and Hobi shared a room for years, they are very close I think the closest members currently. RM even joked that "Hobi comes first for Jimin" recently.

RM's album "Indigo" is coming,, and he'll have his debut stage with 200 armys only with no camera and recording allowed,, he'll finally get to ask ARMYS about their story 💜💜💜💜💜

I love your videos. I was wondering.....why didn't you show Jimin's segment where the members describe him? He was the only member you skipped; his name came up, but the video skipped to "V." Just curious. Can't wait for your next BTS reaction.

When V was presenting his items, and showed them how he used to twirl his pen. The rest of them were talking about this, and you get a quick shot of Jungkook, eyes closed, twirling his own pen as if trying out the sensation/trying to recreate the feeling V was describing. Jungkook often strikes me as a very physical/practical learner - you see him copying the instructor rather than just listening and looking on the first run-through a lot, both in dancing and other stuff like the flying yoga. It just made me love him a little bit more, that he was immediately trying to relate to Vs explanation in the way most natural to him - not by imagining the sensation/action, but by recreating it physically.

In a lot of ways j-hope reminds me of niall. They are both nicknamed sunshine after all. But also Niall is a great listener, a rock, and in 1D the boys really depended on him.

Thank you very much, I loved your reaction. Thank you for telling us about your uncle too. I can see how important Hobi's presence is for them, and also here, even when you felt a light hearted communication, you can notice that something heavy is behind. They didn't want to be for a second year making that meeting without a concert with their fans. Also, knowing now how they were supposed to move to chapter 2 after the cancelled tour, the hope and fear about concerts with ARMY before military service and solo albums is there, and that's maybe why Hobi is more concerned about everybody's feelings, and Yoongi, Jin and Tae feel the need to light the humour. Jimin, I feel, was super sad; I remember seeing this for the first time and feeling that the atmosphere became wet every time he answered one of the first questions. I wonder if, as you said, he was deflecting the attention to others, or asking for/ thanking for the attention that others gave to his own feelings, and also Hobi was his roommate during a long time, so I think that he feels secure about him engaging, not ignoring, but also not going deeper. Tae, he will jump for ARMY (and Jin too. Well, all of them, I know that you know), but also for his fellow members, in special when they say something like "I wish I could sing well", or "I am the one that dances the worst": he jumps to underline that they are good and shouldn't say that kind of things. Sorry for writing all together and not properly. And thank you again. They are inspiring, and it's great what you do to help us feel better with our own moves into the world, through them.

Thank you, Max, for a loving overview of Festa 2022. I am a new ARMY as of March 2022 and was struck with this awareness of who these talented performers were! I am obsessed with their work and follow as much as I can through social media outlets. They are amazing! I turned off all the news channels and concentrated on their goodness and their music. They truly changed my 75 year old heart! I care about each of them and their lives and wish them all the success and happiness.

It's always so interesting to hear your insight and analysis for BTS 💜

This is my second time watching FESTA and it hits different watching it and hearing your comments about what they do. Your channel is one of my favorites because I have always been interested in leadership, communication, etc, I guess it comes with me being more of the quiet kind of person, a listener, but wanting to improve my social skills. One of the things that stood out for me were your description of V because he's one of my favorite members (It was my bias in the beginning) and I do think he's very sincere, honest and different. And other thing that surprised me was when you said Jimin was hyper aware of his surrounding, how he can read people easily even people's little expressions and I've noiced I'm like that, I feel i've always been like that but with people I know too well like family or close friends, I can even know when they're feeling bad or something even by the way they talk, their tone, micro expressions even if they insist in seeing everything's ok. Since I have been the kind to follow them musically without watching much of their interviews, I am enjoying this so much.
