Loved your intelligent analysis, but what most of us want is to hear the song uninterrupted, to get the full essence; then go back to the beginning & do your indepth analysis step by step. I am also from New Orleans & am a 73 yr. Old great grandmaw & have witnessed a ton of amazing singers in my lifetime & he is the BEST singer that I have ever heard, bar none!! & with such emotion! & very HUMBLE!
