Hi Marcus, we watched your video on property and retirement recently. Could we seek your views. We are living in a fully paid HDB flat and we currently owned jointly two private condos - 1 one bedder freehold and 1 3 bedder leasehold less than 10 years old, both almost fully paid, but we are not paying all as we are using the spare cash for other investments in equities. We are thinking of upgrading (freehold for legacy) or to invest in a property for capital appreciation for the next 10 years. We think all three properties prices have plateaued and rentals are slowing. We are 50 years old. Could you suggest ways we can do? Many thanks!

@@SRE2024-WO Money Laundering case has prevented a lot to come to SG. GCB rental now $50k also no taker, last time $200k, lots of retrenchment + Feds rates no cut...foreigners leaving, condo rental drop. RTS is coming....lots of MY will go rent in JB, HDB high rental can say bye bye..latest GLS no bid...u still dare to buy?

pls check out Oasis Residence in JB, 517sq ft can have dual key for 2 one bedroom units...this is to replace HDB rental in SG, imagine $400/mth i got an one bedroom unit with ensuite toilet + pool + gym in JB, only in-convenience is to take RTS

This one retirement plan still considered reasonable. If working adult with kids do this it’s using time to trade money. Extra traveling means more time money and risk exposure. Not wrong but personally I will rather stay put in sg and spend extra time and effort to grow my income than on traveling in and out of jb.
