Glad you enjoyed this video. Yea, keeping things really simple (like looking for the triad shapes) has made these jazz solos easier to understand and borrow from for me as well!
Thanks, you are a super good player, you should hook up with some of the Jazz players on Truefire, Frank Vignola, Tim lerch, Sean McGowan,I mean in the sense to play with them, you are that good!
aw thanks for the encouraging kind words! I'll have to check out their stuff! I've seen some true fire lessons in the past and it's been cool. I hope to get more involved with the online guitar community and get back into gigging regularly as my kids get older and more independent! but for now my focus is primarily on them and creating RU-vid guitar content is a cool creative outlet! 😄
Just realised I hit the dislike button yesterday by accident! Sorry about that...changed it to a BIG like today. I have played for for 46 years mostly metal and rock. I made a decision to learn jazz at the beginning of the pandemic and have learned much from the youtube...glad that the algorithm led me to your channel. Your breakdown of why the riffs are used are invaluable and well done. Thank you for this series....I hope there will be more!
Lol! no worries - thanks so much for the kind words! and very cool, happy to hear that this content is beneficial to your jazz studies! I come from a similar background where I mostly played rock and then got into jazz - so I can def relate to that!
