No one says there's too much show if the show was great. They say it when the show is mid.

To me, issue with Dave /observer is they want the business to be wrestling matches first and all else secondary. Reality is, thats the after effect of the storylines/characters, thats where people who do take issue with Dave have a valid argument. Id compare to Rocky, which is about the character and the story investing you in, leading TO the boxing match. You dont see the boxing match alone, then tell the story. Listen to Dave's voice when talks aew, hes like an excited kid, and thats great, he prefers that style, but just acknowledge it, instead he says hes an unbiased reporter of wrestling when clearly is not with countless examples just since aew started. Wwe talk, hes always, yeah, they did this, matches werent as good though. Matches are important of course, id say more so now sure, but wwe proved long ago they arent what ultimately retains and pulls you in. When wcw was beating wwf, the matches on top, were sometimes barely passable, but who was in them? Characters/stars the public were invested in( hulk, piper, macho, ect). When flipped, was it wwf matches, or the characters/stars ( Austin, Rock, Vince, etc) that flipped it? Dave hasnt seemingly learned that lesson.

it's crazy that AEW has not put a belt on him this whole time. His first run as a heel was great and the matches were amazing but then he was ruined by putting him in a boring tweener faction were people like Castagnoli are getting stale.

I really don't feel like Jericho, or Mox did much for adding prestige to the aew world title because honestly, their in ring work isn't on the same level of a Danielson. The problem is that they brought Bryan in and IMMEDIATELY put him vs Kenny than hangman and basically put him in positions that he couldn't win without going over their desired top guys.

That angle would have looked very different if McMahon had just fired Austin and gotten a restraining order on him.
