My grandmother and her friends donned her “Murder She Wrote” hairstyle throughout the 80s, 90s and onward. They even visually looked like her. Amazing actress!
Its one of the best not made by Disney since Disney people worked on this after some left do to conflicts which I think is part of how people for a while we're confused and felt this was a knock off of Disney but not exalty
The beauty and emotion coming from this piece. You can feel the joy, the accomplishment and the little bit of sadness…It’s very melancholy. A perfect ending
I know, I never knew this was based on a real story until 10th grade and we learned about the Russian revolution in world history and characters in this movie were mentioned and I was left thinking “wait, was the movie Anastasia based on this?”
The Song to play when you've finally been able to make it to the Ball, The Oscar's Ceremony,or when meeting and dancing with the person you are supposed to be with....lol...
Because one this movie isn't a masterpiece, and two because the movie alters the history it was based off of beyond recognition to where it was rather offensive and in very poor taste. I mean seriously who actually thought it was a good idea to romanticize the tradgedies of the Bolshevik revolution and make the Czar a victim when in reality the reason he was booted out was because he was a mercilous tyrant. And before you give me that it was wrong to kill Anastasia who had nothing to do with his crimes against humanity like Trotsky eventually did lemme just remind you the Romanovs have butched lots of Jewish children themselves. No tears are shed for Anastasia from me.
@@wolfkeeper2341 I would call this Bluth's worst film honesty. At least A Troll in Central Park, and Rock a Doodle are so bad they're funy. This movie had the nerve to make people feel sorry for The Czar when he deserved to be killed for his attrocities against my people. I'm sad I an't thank Stallin personally for killing this asshole.
@@RiseofTaitoShirei Ya, I'm sorry but once again, the person here was talking about the music, probably, it's there opinion once again. You have yours I have mine, ok?
Ending Scene of Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World. Pocahontas' Chapter is about to Begin after moved from Jamestown, Virginia to Bay Lake, Florida.
"Anastasia" is truly an EPIC masterpiece and one of Don Bluth finest work just his previous films like "The Secret Of NIMH", "The Land Before Time", "An American Tale" and "All Dogs Go To Heaven".
Yes it's so much like a Disney movie that's because Disney people worked on it, Don Bluth tried to get Disney to do this but they didnt likw the idea of making a princess off a actual historical person and he left Disney in late 70s taking a good bunch of the animators of that time with him to make stuff they wanted it was a bad time for Disney Don Bluth in the 80s and 90s was the next best thing but sadly his buisnesa went under in about 2001 Anastasia was one if his last movies in 1997
@@danmulholland1634 not to mention CGI was the next big thing at the time and Don bluth was still obsessed with traditional 2d animation so when he made Titan AE he tried to mix 2d and CG animation but it failed mostly because the CG looked bad and the movie itself wasn't good too.
Sort of. The royal family was all killed (communism like always ruining everyone lives), but there was a rumor that one them escaped, in this case Anastasia. Of course that some say that she was killed was well, but other believe that she was able to survive
One critic of this wrote that the concept of this movie is akin to saying Anne Frank survived the Holocaust and went to Florida to be a fashion designer. Couldn't have said it better.
Amaya Jones it’s some kind of variation on Journey to the Past- I know EXACTLY what you’re talking about, and it’s literally gorgeous, but I don’t know what it’s called-
Movies back then were absolutely magical, in storytelling and scope. The beautiful scores were final icing on the cake 🎂. There's no magic or inspiration anymore 😢, seems to be all be political and personal agendas and corporate profit. I've noticed that most movies scores sounds very generic with "NO" heart or emotions. I really want to bringing the back those types of movies that I grew up with ever since I was toddler and younger ages in 2000s era with more "Absolutely Magical", "Storytelling" and "Scope". Even more "Heart and Emotion".
