i dont think anyone underestimates her except for Joanna. I would love to see her against a re-ignited Rose. If Rose starts enjoying MMA again and works on a few things that would be the fight to determine who the new GOAT for the division is. I dont see Joanna having a chance against her tbh, especially with the mind-set after her losses to Rose which hasnt changed since then. I think she hit a wall she is taking way to long to overcome mentally. Not even sure she is trying.

ZHANG IS 20-0 PRO RECORD. HER LOSS WAS AN AMATUAR BOUT. ZHANG HAS CONFIRMED THIS SEVERAL TIMES. SHE HAS LET IT GO BUT DANA IS AWARE AND ARIEL HAS SAID HE IS ACTIVELY TRYING TO GET THE RECORD CORRECT AND THE LOSS REMOVED. I put all caps cause everyone keeps getting it wrong. Other fighters don't have amatuer bouts on their record so she deserves the same treatment.

I've watched her since her second fight in the UFC. I think she's something special. She really gives off GSP vibes to me. I really think that she's the women's MMA version of GSP. This young lady is an amazing person...been through so much lately right before such a big fight...can't imagine how it will affect her...such a magnificent and brutal artist...she will destroy Joanna in about a minute and a half...she has obviously worked extremely hard on honing her craft, and it is awesome to watch...wish her much success....

yeah, and it's not just lately that she's been through a lot. A serious injury at age 17 forced her out of her martial arts training until she was 20. She had years when she had to work 12 hour nights, get a bit of sleep, then get her training in. She got into dedicated mma training after seeing rousey win the title in 2013, and resolved to some day fight in the UFC. Then, after her first 2 pro fights, she sustained another serious injury which forced her out of training from late 2014 to mid-to-late 2015. Luckily, her former coach located her, connected her with better doctors, plus provided a job at the gym, to provide income while she rehabilitated. She fought 1 fight near the end of 2015, then 6 in 2016, followed by 7 in 2017 ... catching up for lost time. That's a very mentally strong person, to undergo all that and yet maintain that dream.

During last week I've watched all episodes of Ip Man movie and once he start to talk about masters, directly I imagine the attitude of all masters from a different martial schools in that movie. It was pretty funny when that guy highlighted one of the most heartwarming scene where the little boy (IP Man's son) comes up to two fighting masters and says : " Daddy, Mommy told me if you don't start to fight you will break all things inside of the house". Put in perspective: Weili has 21+ matches in her life. Has fought in some crazy countless countries in asia. I cant imagine the countless masters of the art she has trained with. The amount of accrued knowledge that Weili has would be astounding. After her career I hope she becomes a coach or teacher herself, to pass on that knowledge. At this point weilis future octagon record is meaningless, she has already won in experience..she is now an archive much like khabib, gsp.

Put your money on Zhang, Joanna has shown 0 improvement since the Rose losses. Was a former fan of Joanna before the boogeywomen happend. Joanna wont win till she accepts the losses and stops trying to be a WWE character. Zhang on the other hand carries herself very honorable doesnt give in to trashtalk and has a focused mindset. She seems much less invested in emotions and her focus is on sharpening her skills in what she enjoys. She has the right ingredients to reach insane heights, i just hope WWE Dana doesnt fuck that up like he seems to do with all champions.
