Very informative since I already own some handhelds. Some are too heavy for extended play for me , so I appreciate all the details. Would have liked a quick rundown on the different game lists, since I can't add games or update software, so I need to know how it is right out of the box.

If the phone runs android it probably has input lag, whereas these handhelds don't have that👍 Thanks for the comment!

Telescopic controller? I’d like to see that set up, what old phone do you use and how do you get games/emulators on the phone

@@shadeshiest22 I'm running an old Galaxy J7 Refine with a flydigi wee2 or PS4 controller. And the emulators i use are Pizzaboy GBA/GBC/GB, Mupen 64 plus FZ, PPSSPP, Drastic, Redream, Yaba Sanshiro, Snes 9x+, MD.Emu, Epsxe. I get them through the G+ play store. I don't set up retroarch as I find it to be a pain.

G'Day, Mate! How come the only sounds we hear are those of your voice & none of the gameplay? Where are the headphone jacks located? Where is the "screen-gap" on the RG350?

The RG300 has usb type c and the RS97 has micro usb is a difference I forgot to mention. PS FYI: the RG99 is not the same as a RG300, because it has a smaller screen and a weaker processor!!!

With light play the right analogue stick top on my RG350 popped off. I still haven't found time to glue it back on. It looks like a clean break. Maybe a defect in the plastic.

Is it a good buy if I get the anbernic rg280v as my first handheld? And btw, do the games come installed already?

As long as your eyesight is good the 280V is an excellent start. Depends where you buy it for ROMs on the device. Chinese sellers almost always send them out fully loaded.

I have a problem with my eyes and have to turn the brightness to very dark on devices. Please can i ask if this is possible on all, or some of these devices? Thanks for the great video.

Is there a significant reduction in the travel distance for the analog sticks between the RG350 and RG350P? People seem to talk about the RG350P having better analog sticks but if they have much less travel distance they won't be so good for racing games.

Yes there is a reduction, but im not sure if those racing games rely on gradual analog inputs, and I think the quality of the rg350p analog sticks are just better👍

This is a perfect review! The only thing I still don't get is the aspect ratio of the 280m. Even with size reduced pixels, that resolution is still equivalent to 3:2. And this would be the only reason for me to avoid that machine. Are you sure that the aspect ratio is 4:3? Thank you so much for these precious comparisons anyway!

RG280 devices DO NOT have resolution of 480x320.. it is just 320x240 with "staggered" pixel layout (so every single game will be rendered in 320x240) - thats why it has 4:3 aspect ratio :)

Just put in an order for a 280V 16 gb. Will get a 32 gb sandisk for it later. Expected delivery is April 3rd! Oof! Gonna be a rough wait.

i bought the rg351p. i should get it a few days. i dont really care to play N64 /ps1 or psp or dreamcast games so it should be good for me.

@Homer Simpson had it for a month. Very happy with it. So much i have done nothing to it. Just play the pre installed games on it

@Homer Simpson ps1 games run good. N64 game's not so much. Run slow with bad audio problems

@Homer Simpson mario kart 64 yes. I have a video of all pre installed games that came in rg351p. If you do but it remember to shut the system down in the menus. Don't hold down the power button to power it off. You will corrupt the card and lose all the game's

AGAIN! WRONG INFO ABOUT RG280 DEVICES DISPLAY RESOLUTION! everybody, dont trust those ANBERNIC specs!!! RG280 devices DO NOT have resolution of 480x320.. it is just 320x240, even aspect-ratio IS NOT 3:2 (as other 480x320 displays) but 4:3.. every single game i played on mine RG280m is rendered in 320x240!!!

try RGA scaling 3:2 is the only way..... do a side by side of perfect integer scaling you can barely tell unless you see checker background, dont you see wider ALWAYS allows less boarders in the end you can only play so many SNES & SEGA games until your ready for other stuff

As of now we only have quake 1 on there if im correct, we will have to wait for quake 2 to be ported to emuelec...

Pff. 6-12 hours of gaming, depending on "what dimension" the game is in?! Freakin Kids today. Back in my day? We used old timey AAs (disposable batteries) and we were HAPPY to get 4 hours...of black and green gaming. You don't even wanna know what porn was like.

I'm older than both of you. Handheld gaming in my childhood meant *Pocketeers* which didn't require batteries but after 20 minutes I was bored anyway.
