@@TheMedicineShell In light of this, how should one determine which hand to use when taking to Igbo ancestors? I had been using my left hand whenever presenting things to my ancestors for the very reason @Each1Teach1 gave. I assumed that our ancestors in the spiritual realm viewed using the left hand the opposite of how they viewed using it in the physical realm. But what you said in the video made me reconsider that. What do most Dibias/Ezenwanyi say?

@@chimaogeibe2921 No definitive answer on my end. Never seen kola presented with the left. In prayer and outside of it, the right is used. Iwa orji - even at an altar-factors living and non-living at once, so this may be the reason. Other offerings outside of kola may also have a different rule, but I only use kola. I'll look into it and get back to you.

I haven’t been able to get kola since I started talking to my ancestors (~2 months), so I’ve been using water and a lavender candle as my offering(I use the candle cuz my grandma, who is my spirit guide, likes lavender). I hope using the left hand is ok for those😅 But I also wanna get kola so I can do better offerings anyway😅😅
