Wonderful!Even as a Mongolian.I can't understand their words. But still I hear the spirit in their song. They are showing their respect to all ancestors and nature. I believe the music of khoomei will be sing for another a thousand years!
@@anandavirmed578 of course, no one can claim such 'blood brotherhood' with one another. However, it is obvious that they share the same ethnic background. They are linked with the Turkic cultural and linguistic origin. On the other hand, Tuvans were probably exposed to Russian & Chinese cultures, and Turkish Turks were influenced by Persian & Anatolian culture. Besides, I think classifying people by their blood or genetic heritage is no more different than craniometry. :D I'm a Turkish guy and I like to find out about my ancestors from both Central Asia & Anatolia. I don't see something wrong with cherishing both Turkic culture and Anatolian cultures. To be exact, I don't think it is wrong to interiorize all cultures around the world. They are our common legacy as homo sapiens species. Cheers!

Well I think throat singing is popular in China tho, I can name some very popular Chinese (Inner Mongolian) bands in China -> Hanggai, Nair Band, etc etc
What an incredible energy! truly one of the most amazing sounds I have ever heard. These are the real story tellers, the masters of a language that all humans can understand.

Wow, this is absolutely mesmerizing. Whenever I see this performance, I feel like as if I have a connection with nature and earth. It feels as if something inside me enables me to fly to the skies, to climb the tallest of mountains, to trek the largest of forests, and to journey across the vastness of the steppes. Huun Huur Tu is a cultural and musical ambassador of Tuva.
@This is the best name i could come up with Of course, someone has to come in and kill the mood. There's always a pessimist around every corner, attempting to ruin a comment that is not intended to insult others but, rather, show some appreciation to the music that is playing on this video. Not to mention, someone who's always making generalizations. Typical.
And those drums on headphones... Gives me goosebumps when Alexei start playing them first very quiet and then lauder and lauder and then he starts singing.. Oh my! This is something from another world.

Part 1: Prayer (0:41 - 1:19) May the vital force of my townsfolk stand solid without weakening May the head of the herd be happy May the vital force of it grow again (1:48 - 2:26) As the spokesman of my people I kneeled and pleaded Asking forgiveness from Tandy steppe I begged for salvation Part 2: Ancestors (5:11 - 5:51) My Yenisey, my Sayan-Tandy. My homeland from early ages, that. Melted-thick sygyt-khoomei. My song from flowing ages, that. (5:52 - 6:30) The forefathers of khoomei-sygyt, even if they turn into eternal-stones. Boils chests and hearts, the khoomei-singing children among us. (7:06 - 7:39) The forefathers of kargyraa, even if they become rocks and stones. Banishes the sad aura, the kargyraa-singing children among us. (7:48 - 8:28) My Yenisey, my Sayan-Tandy. My homeland from early ages, that. Melted-thick sygyt-khoomei. My song from flowing ages, that. (9:23 - 9:44) My song, that! My homeland, that!
What a beautiful music that touch the soul, it's urged to have lyrics in mother language Really it is so marvelous listening to music from other cultures, really it adds to the human experience and make better mood
Magical. Amazingly, this performance was in Beijing, which back in the time of the Mongol Empire, was their second stronghold known as Khanbaliq, built after the Mongol invasion of China.

Very interesting how the woodwind instrument is played, with his mouth slightly open and not in the more conventional way with lips closed around the mouthpiece.

@@ming390 there are 3 Göktürk (Orkhun) Inscriptions in Mongolia. Kul Tigin, Toñyukuk and Bilge Khagan inscriptions. They all written with Göktürk alphabet.
I've heard the 2010 recorded version and i much prefer them now (as I was blessed to watch them live this year). The "slower" pace resonates powerfully with the spiritual aspects of soul calling and connecting with the ancestors, the land, and all there is beyond. Blessings.
