This song feels like saying goodbye to the childhood you never had bc you were always the mature kid so it’s like saying goodbye to a stranger that everyone around you is saying is your closest friend. But then they’re telling you that they have to go too. This feels like saying goodbye to something you never knew, but it’s something you wanted anyways. At least that’s what it feels like to me.
I can understand that. Seems like how my life has gone until recently. Two years of me saying goodbye to that childhood. Wallowing in depression and anxiety until I set back into good habits, started winding back the clock. Then pressing start, tomorrow that is. Leaving behind a time where I was under my parent’s thumb, over some stupid debate about ADHD with every primary school teacher, forcing my brother out of a school when he threw his worst tantrum, leaving me without anyone who took the time to care, where I would’ve been fine if both sides agreed to take care in how they spoke and stayed passionate. There were some days where they were, sure. I’m still amazed now I didn’t make my parents better people after all that. Dad’s still an alcoholic and a smoker in his 60s, Mom still wants to do everything for us even if what we need is knowledge. They paid money to put me in other’s care, didn’t help themselves when they needed it so they could be there when I needed it, especially during my worst teenage years. They got into a hockey game with everyone who were trying to care for me, and I was put in the middle of it. The entirety of it was stupid. Worth accepting the futility of their negligence and moving on from it.
@@bookaddict5544 I’m very strong. I survived over three years of pain. I drove my own mom today to return an instrument I had been using through her rent. On a Friday at the worst possible time in traffic. She was terrified. I had no fear or care to not try. It’s weight off my chest, and peace in mind.

All I want is to be loved by someone, who will be always here for me, and not break my heart and go away like nothing happened. I just don't want to feel lonely again. What did I do to deserve this? Well I guess I'm just a fool, who always fall for those lies, that trusts people easily and let them break my heart. A fool who is desperate for love and doesn't know what to do or what is doing anymore. A poor little soul that has been broken too many times. And I don't think that will ever change... But, even after all that pain, I still have hope... That someday I will find someone. I won't give up, even though it hurts, and the only thing I want to do is cry all day and night. I will try again, this is my last chance. And for the ones reading this, if you've been through this or is going though it right now. Don't give up, I know someday you will find happiness, after all this suffering, you will find peace, everything will be ok. You are not useless, you are more than you think.
