Hope you enjoyed this strangely relaxing yet rare glimpse of what one can find under the Pacifica Pier (when conditions are juuuust right!) Have you seen similar activity at your local pier or wharf? Let me know! I'll come drop a camera! Thanks for watching everyone!
Just another (local! Love your shop!) voice saying that the music you guys wrote and performed was just perfect for this. What a great video. I have often wondered what conditions were like in the water at the pier - what are those whales and sea lions swimming through? - and you have finally given us something of an answer. Thank you.
Right on, Yak! Wow, that means the world. Stoked you're digging the music and the video. You know, most of the time the water under that pier is brown soup, but when it clears up, it's like lifting a veil on how much wildlife activity is present, depending on conditions of course.
Seems to be somewhere between 25-30ft where I'm at. Could be shallower, especially at low tide. I'm going off of how much of my two connected 50ft ropes get submerged, how much slack is left on the pier, and judging how high the pier is. I'll get an exact answer soooon.
@@WHATLIVESDOWNTHERE I surfed the south side of that pier on a big day in December 4 or 5 years ago and honestly it can be pretty scary out there. Got absolutely pummeled a few times in 10-15 foot face waves and never touched the bottom even though i got knocked super deep.
@@spojce9 That's CRAZY! Yeah, it's deep for sure, and when the waves are that big, so is the depth! You're a brave man. I'm always impressed when surfers are out there by the pier. Be safe!!
