If you do not see the massive scars of fast-moving-water erosion, on the cliff faces, in your opening scene, you will never understand WHY the Anasazi/Fremont People would build "on top" of ridges, like this one.
The Anasazi never lived in Utah. They came from the south, lived in Chaco canyon, NM for 280 years, then returned to the south (Mexico). The Cliff Dwellers, the Puebloan people, and the Fremont people, all merged with the Dine people, and now make up several Navajo clans. The Anasazi were slavers, and cannibals. I suspect they were an Aztec clan.
