Let's take a step back and remember why we're all here. We clicked on this video to learn something new, to gain insights, and maybe even broaden our horizons a bit. But instead of diving into something meaningful, we seem to be stuck in a loop of arguments that might never reach a satisfying conclusion. Let's be real, none of us came here to watch a weird TV show, right? We're all sensible folks, and we know that getting into heated debates over something as ambiguous as the ownership of the Indus Valley civilization won't get us anywhere. It's like trying to solve a puzzle with missing pieces. So, how about we put our energy into something more productive? Like sharing our perspectives, listening to each other, and maybe even finding some common ground along the way. And hey, while we're at it, let's not forget to treat each other with respect. We're all here to learn and grow, and that's a lot easier to do when we're not at each other's throats. Let's make this discussion a space where we can all come away with something valuable, whether it's a new idea, a different perspective, or just a better understanding of each other. Sound good? Let's dive back in with that in mind.

Dear Junaidbhai Greetings from Mumbai. Interesting conversation with young history buff. Guest expressed his opinions on varied topics / eras and also admitting at times that he is not sure of authenticity of what he was narrating. He comes comes out as honest , sincere lad , trying to learn. Few general comments : 1. Pakistanis surely has misconception of their identity , which isnt surprising. As Pakistan was born out of political case presented by Jinnah the lawyer , rather than a grass root politician. In any society the identity can be fluid...at local level one may be Pasthun or Sindhi ...at other level...may be Muslim ...at other level could be Pakistani or even South Asian . 2. Jinnah andMuslim League never fought for freedom of India or Pakistan from British rule . They always attacked Congress leaders and termed them into some Hindu leaders , which is falsely taught and understood by majority of Pakistanis. 3. Modern "Pakistani" History is very old , may be even older than Mohenjo Daro era . Pakistani students and people are main losers when they are taught incomplete or motivated history ..which leads to confusion of their national identity. Even the guest conveniently forgotten to state that great Emperors like Chandra gupta maurya, Ashoka the great etc were all from the land , which is modern day Pakistan. Such selective cherry pickings is prevalent in most of Pakistanis , hence they remain rudderless. 4. If the "Real / Honest" History of today/s Pakistani land is told to the children of Pakistan...new Pakistan will emerge . Till then, confusion shall continue. People need to read books written by credible Historians , Anthropologists etc rather than go by hearsay / anecdotes / sweeping generalisations/ conspiracy theories , unscientific ideas etc. Keep up the good work JunaidBhai to awaken the people to challenge the false narrative being churned out by propagandists.

उत्तरं यत्समुद्रस्य हिमाद्रेश्चैव दक्षिणम्। वर्षं तद् भारतं नाम भारती यत्र सन्ततिः॥ "The country (varṣam) that lies north of the ocean and south of the snowy mountains is called Bhārata; there dwell the descendants of Bharata." The Bhagavata Purana mentions (Canto 5, Chapter 4)[31] - "He (Rishabha) begot a hundred sons that were exactly like him... He (Bharata) had the best qualities and it was because of him that this land by the people is called Bhāratavarṣa" Bharata Khanda (or Bhārata Kṣetra [32]) is a term used in some of the Hindu texts. In the Sanskrit epic, the Mahabharata (200 BCE to 300 CE), a larger region of North India is encompassed by the term Bharata, but much of the Deccan and South India are still excluded.[33] Some other Puranic passages refer to the same Bhārata people, who are described as the descendants of Dushyanta's son Bharata in the Mahabharata.[34] The realm of Bharata is known as Bhāratavarṣa in the Mahabharata (the core portion of which is itself known as Bhārata) and later texts. According to the text, the term Bharat is from the king Bharata, who was the son of Dushyanta and Shakuntala and the term varsa means a division of the earth or a continent.[citation needed] The use of Bharat often has political overtones, appealing to a certain cultural conception of India.[35] CNN reported in 2023 of president Droupadi Murmu and prime minister Narendra Modi using the Bharat name in connection with a G20 gathering, speculating on a possible name change for the country.

I feel very ashamed that we have been mistreating our Chitrali community. In Punjab the only concept we are given of Chitral is that it's a very backwards area and you can buy their beautiful women for marriage. The fact that we as the people of Punjab get the most development just because we are the majority and politicians live here and Chitrali people don't, goes to show we are an ungrateful nation and we will never succeed in the world.
It is unfortunate that there are negative perspectives about different ethnicities in our country. Similarly, we have been taught many misconceptions about Punjabi people, which may be incorrect, just like your perspective on Chitral. Chitral is one of the most beautiful places in Pakistan, with its lush greenery, welcoming people, and warm hospitality that is difficult to describe in words. People from Punjab, Sindh, and other parts of KPK take advantage of this hospitality. In Chitral, there are Muslims, Kalash, and Ismaili communities, and despite religious differences, we coexist happily. The Kalash have a wedding ritual where, after serving meals, the boy takes away the girl (bhaga k le jana). But it happens ""within"" their community. This doesn't imply that anyone else can come and say, "I want to bring you to my home," not even a Chitrali if he is not from the kalash community. The literacy rate in chitral is very high as compared to any other district of kpk. This huzaifa nizam is a prime example that our soil has the ability to produce many talents, intellectuals and heroes.

Crazy how he seems to have read all books by Muslim and foreign authors about Indian subcontinent except the very books that are one of the oldest known works of literature from the subcontinent. He might have actually learnt something new other than merely trying to understand his own land through the eyes of people foreign to it themselves. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
People should be praising the knowledge gained from the video instead of arguing about religions and cultures. What a gem this guy is. So young yet his knowledge is off the charts.
@@WajahhaiNaJanga Where does bias-ness factor into just getting knowledge? You are getting to learn about trade routes, different cultures, how people went about their business in older civilizations. The whole part about bias-ness is just isn't part of the conversation. People, specifically of neighborhood countries are getting triggered uselessly. Just watch it and learn a few things, why get into arguments over something that has already happened hundreds of years ago? Sounds very trivial to me.
Iam an Arab in UAE who has interacted with Pakistanis and Indians for the past decade. I more or less understand the language Hindi / Urdu which are very similar... Arabs conquered the Afghans and iranians and converted them to Islam. Arabs also conquered Sindh and thus conversion to Islam began. Pakistanis and Indian Muslims whose ancestors were undeniably Hindu/ Buddhist like to call themselves Arabs/ Turks is because they don't want to accept that their Ancestors were Defeated. It brings a sense of Inferiority Complex to them... Also, Babar who started Mughal empire was an Uzbek ( Central Asian). Muslims of India ( including Pakistan) were governed by foreigner Muslims 99.9% of the time...
urdu is only the national language of pakistan as a lingua franca to unite us all, that doesnt mean we are same with indians. we pakistanis first speak our mother tongue panjabi, sindhi, pashto, balochi, kashmiri only found in pakistan not in india except the panjabis of india but theyre a minority in india. pakistani ancestors before islam was buddhist, zoroastrain and pagans , no one in pakistan calls themselves turks or arabs. we dont have an !nf3r!0rity complex we are all proud of our ethnicities different from indians lol . we pakistanis arent indian muslims we share one ethnicitiy wit india the panjabis and theyre a minority in india and genetically different from other indians. we pakistanis were converted by arabs in the 8th century and sufi preachers in the 11th century . may god guide us all
Before the Islamization of the northwestern frontier of the subcontinent, the people and cultures in that region shared a common history, as evidenced by references to Gandhara in the Mahabharata. While the current demographic differences between nations may be significant, it is essential to acknowledge the deep-rooted similarities in the ancient history of the subcontinent. Regardless of the labels used, it is widely recognized that the region once boasted a rich and prestigious ancient civilization predating any Abrahamic religion. Therefore, it is fair to assert that this civilization was not inherently tied to Abrahamic ideologies. lastly Kudos to Huzaifa for bringing and taking a pride in his own culture. All the best, Brother for your pursuit. Love and respect from India.
He is not taking pride in Indian culture. He is dropping subtle hints again and again. He is a Muslim supermacist. He is saying that all the intellectual property produced by the ancient people of North Western Bharat is of today's Pakistan. Why we Indians are so naive. And can't see hatred eyes for us in their eyes.
@@Vk-sk7nm I dont agree with you. The thing is that even in India if you go to south people regardless of religion take pride in their history. But in north india ethnicity is not valued as much as religion. People of punjab and sindh should take pride in their past regardless of their religion.

What an absolute gem of a video. This should be shown in every single history and culture classroom in Pakistan. The government should officially patronise and spread all this information. There is far too much knowledge, nuance and vocabulary thats so crucial to understanding the whole conversation and context around Pakistani history, and how it unfortunately gets lost and unclaimed, instead claimed by our neighbours. I hope this video, and every single post and article by Huzaifa never ever gets lost and remains on the internet forever. I hope it gets published in books and media programmes throughout the country. Pakistan needs some serious work done on recognising and being proud of all this. Instead we accept a very defeatist and self-loathing attitude, often stemming from current political/economical frustrations, which is unfair to do.

He's quite an amateur - can you bring professional historians instead. He believes Patna or even Chandigarh has nothing to do with Gandhara for example. It's amusing. His opinions are coming not out of any academic insights but purely an emotional reaction to not getting global respect as a Pakistani. He needs to introspect because this won't take him too far. He's making the same mistake as previous Pakistan Studies - looking at history through an ideological agenda.
He gave the perfect counter reaction to how Indians claim history from our part of the land as theirs. Nothing wrong with that aspect. He is talking strictly from Pakistan's point of view and our OWN history from our part of the subcontinent. If you don't want to agree on that, that is a separate issue. Watch Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast if you want to hear what you already believe.
@@haziqajmxl nothing wrong with talking about history from a Sindhi, Panjabi or Balochi point of view. But to project modern borders to history and to say for example that Chandigarh region has no link with Gandhara region, etc. because the Radcliffe line passes inbetween is laughable.

This guy is talking about history of thousands of years and using boundaries of today. On what basis he separates India and Pakistan in that period when there is no mountain range, no river between India and Pakistan. Harappa is just 80 Km away from India. Absolutely wonderful interview. I have also been a fan of Huzaifa for many years. It is truly sad that as a people we lack curiosity. And i mean not just Pakistanis but Muslims everywhere including the west ( perhaps to a lesser degree). I recently traveled to Egypt and the entire tourism industry is geared towards Europeans. It makes sense to some degree given the financial reach and allure of Ancient egypt. But there were almost negligible Muslim tourists, thus none of the tours focus even slightly on the Islamic history of this region. Similarly in Pakistan our entire focus is on “Pahaari beauty “, neglecting our very rich Archeological heritage. This is a goldmine waiting to be opened
Today he is cutting down the history to his region of India to give Pakistanis an identity, a few years he will have to cut ✂️ history to punjab only because nothing else will be left of them.😊 ❤ from the holy birth land of the great emperor Bharata.
