This is such a good talk that I put it second on my Playlist: Reviving Extinct & Endangered Life. I have been quite impressed with all of the scientists and speakers in the TED De-Extinction Conference. They have knowledgeable and able to impart that knowledge to the public. This has been a great series.
RosyOutlook2 and Meekseek. Who are you to call anyone a moron or a psychopath? Just the fact that all you know how to do is to hurl an ad hominem and not even explain what your own beliefs are and why you are opposed to what the speaker is saying shows that you are not well equipped to think. Stop attacking educated professionals because what they're saying or what you think they're saying goes against the content of beliefs you were indoctrinated into and you don't have the mental resources to handle it.
Beth Shapiro is just what a scientific speaker should be. She is smart, attractive and well-spoken with a great sense of humour. She thoroughly knows and understands her subject. One is able to enjoy learning from her.
