It is possible those islands were not ALWAYS islands but the tops of mountains. If you look at the underwater topography there appears to be a great evidence of river valleys and water erosion such as "dry" waterfalls.

Actually bones do disappear like that depends on the soil content how long they last generally in acidic soils they can last up to 20 years before they vanish completely, other pH neutral soils it can be hundreds of years. If they become fossilized that is when they last pretty much forever but the conditions have to be right and not all bones are like that. Also bones can even become jelly like is some conditions when only the collagen is left. So it is not true that they all would last forever. When these giant bones were being found they often ended up in roadside displays which had no idea how to preserve them and were just trying to make some money as archeology was booming back then iirc because of the Egyptian finds were always in the news, bit like a gold rush but for bones :) There were lots of bone finds that ended up destroyed because of things like this not just with giant bones.

Rarely do ANY living beings of all sizes have more than 5 fingers, and less than 3. Biology favours these numbers for some/or many reasons. That being said, I had a friend with 6 toes on each foot, but the extra ones were webbed to his pinky toes. Coolest thing I ever saw lol.
I used to squid fish in Southern California so I actually got a chance to walk around on a couple of the channel islands. I've spent days right off the shore anchored up, checking out the island in binoculars. I remember Government employees and a-lot of college kids doing archaeology stuff. they were driving around old school hum-vies and a couple of the island are massive and pretty much a hot desert. I spent one whole day just exploring Santa Cruz. it has a dock you can tie up too but not many people visit from what I could tell. the place has a strange vibe, and definitely a deserted feel to it. a couple roads went a long way down the island, through a bunch of rolling hills. it really doesn't feel like it belongs their. the landscape is noticeable different front the main land just a few miles away. all and all I will never forget the place. just seems weird.
As a kid, except for the desert one, a lot of the Channel Islands looked the same to me as Easter Island in Chili, home of the Rapanui people, the creator's of the famous Moai. Easter island used to be covered by thick forests, but they doomed themselves by cutting down all the trees to make rollers to move their monuments across the island to the waters edge. After they cut down their last tree, they could no longer fish in open water or escape the island. When European's found the island, most of the Rapanui were dead. I wondered if a similar thing happened here minus the giant statues.

I have zero issue with the idea of ancient “giants” because it just makes sense. Both dwarfism and gigantism exist in modern humans, although rare, so it’s entirely possibly that these traits at some point in time could have been more prevalent and even passed down, especially in an isolated breeding environment with lower genetic diversity. It's not a mystery at all why "science dismisses it": that's because there is absolutely no evidence for it. That's how science is supposed to work: accept or reject hypotheses based on the evidence supporting or contradicting them. None of those bones supposedly found around the world have been made available for study. People just claim they exist but there is always some convenient excuse why those bones can't be seen or studied by anyone.

What if... the ice from the glacial maximum connected the islands to the mainland, or after the rapid melt of glaciers, the rising ocean dug channels to separate or fill in the area in which the islands were.. Native American legends say red hair but also other variations among giants including one group known as the black beards. Red is most common though. Eye color is not that important and only speculation.

I live in a place called Radcliffe Gtr Manchester uk and there is a rock near the centre of town and it looks like it has a giant cannon ball stuck in it. It's like there has been a purge of giant related info. There were two brothers that wrote a book, or more like a accumulation of news articles in north america that they mapped. It was over a decade ago when I remember see it.. I tried searching for them a bunch of different ways and kept getting the same 2 or 3 that was a watered down version of what they published. Google can shut down the internet (which they did for 45min once) or wipe all sources or links from the internet, which seems to be the case. It's like a digital book burning.

I barely come up to his shoulder. I'm about 5'7". Their Mom is 5'10". Their Father is 6'3"......Their Father is Arabic and their Mom is not.
