Thracians are considered a people of the Aegean Minoan culture. South of Timisoara in Romania we discovered the Sanctuary of Parța. There there are sculptures of bull skulls. This may be linked to the spatial orientation of the sanctuary toward the autumnal equinoctial direction of setting of the Taurus constellation of the Pleiades. The Atalantes reigning family of Crete were linked to the Pleiades. The discovery of Perperikon in S Thrace was triggered by the discovery of linear A inscribed fragmented tablets.

Thank you for sharing and clarifying and making this video available to the general public. I love Crete and plan to move to the Heraklion area in the near future so your video is important to me for perhaps reasons most wouldn't consider. I am fascinated by the Minoans, Knossos, artifacts in Heraklion and have great appreciation for your video but I had to giggle a few times. The closed captions text often destroyed the name, Knossos, and at one point interpreted your words as "canal sauce"!

Sounds delicious! It might be my fault for not speaking clearly enough. But I do hope you have a fantastic move and continue to grow in your love for the island!!! Sooo jealous:)

Are there important ideas and connections in Martin P. Nilsson s work The Minoan-Mycenean Religion and Its Survival in Greek Religion?

Cybele in Phrygia was a goddess show seated and flanked by lions. Minoans and Phrygians were indo-european like the Hittites. Phrygians were Thracians who crossed from S Thrace valley of Strymon into Anatolia around 1200 BC.

How do we know this was human sacrifice and not a burial prep for someone who has already died, or like a doctors office and theyre using the statue as anatomical reference or spiritually supportive symbol for their work? Maybe they knew the volcano was erupting and they all just killed themselves beforehand?

Trauma suicide! Nice! I don’t know if any archaeologists who dispute the manner of death.

A very redoutable agglomeration of videos to edify all on development of human civilazation from it's very genesis.

I just wish I was able to cover the entire development of human civilization, but I'm afraid that might be way too ambitious for me :)

Wasn't there evidence of cannibalism among the minoans?
@allandidonato
@allandidonato 2 года назад
I believe some have suggested that based on certain markings on some human bone remains, but I’ve never heard any convincing case for cannibalism. In general the question hasn’t garnered much serious attention.
