CLARIFICATION 🙏😇 Dear Viewers, Everything I shared here on this video is only what I was told by the villagers and what they know. TAKE MY VIDEO AS AN ICEBERG AND NOT A PROOF. LET THIS VIDEO'S OPEN OUR EYES FOR MORE RESEARCH STUDY. About the tree (history) (2 trees are there) 1. The tree on the video was naturally grown and not planted by humans. Through this tree the women conceived and gave birth to 3 children (Spirit, Tiger, and Man). Through the man, the generation grew and spread to different places is what they believe (it can be mythological, but I am not saying it is truly mythological nor it's truly a fact. Just shared what I heard and I was told). This tree is not related to the history of KOZA's migration to Kozabomi (said by Makhel Village) 2. There is another tree around Makhel Village area, but I couldn't cover that in the video. This tree, was said be grown because of KOZA's journey and resting at that place. During KOZA'S journey, they were using a supporting stick while walking, and when they rested near Makhel, they placed the stick firmly on the ground on vertical position. When, they left, they had not taken back the stick. Finally, the stick developed roots and started to grow into a tree. This tree is later described as a witness to the story of KOZA's migration and resting in the Makhel area. (Even this story I am not saying it's truly a fact or its mythological. It can be both ways) ° About the story of Tenyimia, there are many who agree and many who disagree with their origination from Makhel Village or Khezhakeno Village. My learnings and advices: • Every Village have some oral history, which have physical appearance and witness (but it can be both mythological or facts) • Our Naga history is very rich and it's truly a high time to preserve it with proper research, study, aggreement and proofs. • There are many history of Naga people, even there are different history about the origin and migration of Naga people, but still there is not a single book by Nagaland University, history department claiming this is the truth and this is about Naga. Everyone is using a word 'might be'. • It will be really good, Naga students (history department) or any other departments starts documenting the history with support from History Department of Nagaland University. We must have a book which we all accepted and share with others that this is original Naga People History. • There are many individual written books with clear history and proofs, but still not recorded by history department of Nagaland University for teaching at university or scholarship level. Naga people is rich in history, culture, tradition, warrios, and many more and Naga people must always be rich in all possible ways. LONG LIVE NAGA PEOPLE LONG LIVE NAGA PEOPLE UNITY Thank you for reading,
Yes, Thanks for the proper clarification. The walking stick of Koza that grew to a big tree is at Shajouba Village. It's about few kms away from Makhel village and that Makhel tree. The walking stick tree of Koza is called Kashuchebo in Khezha (Kashu/Kushu means pointing or directing, Che means fruit, bo mean tree). As Koza and his folks were traversing the thick forest to this part of the region. They rested for sometime there looking for directions and this walking stick of Koza helped him navigate as it pointed towards present day Khezhakeno and that was how Koza finally settled at present day Khezhakeno.
@@VivorSolo The distance between Makhel & Sajouba and Khezakheno is just a few kilometres and as neighbouring Villages. In fact most of other Chakesang Villages migrated from Makhel, you may kindly refer the commemorative souvenir publication of 75th Years of CPO. You must know most of Southern Angamis directly migrated to present location from Makhel and never rest at Khezakheno. You may kindly confirm personally from them. Khezakheno settlement may be later to Makhel or settled at one point of time as Tenymie were all kindreds. The Nagaland Nagas scholars is only trying to divert or to create another historical narratives as Makhel is in Manipur state and trying to clutch exclusively the migration of all Nagas to Khezakhenoma, which is absolutely not true. Go from Village to Village and know the factual historical narratives and stories.
You're misinformed about the Banyan tree. The first Mother (known as Dzüliamosüa) conceived the three children under the Marabu (Sacred Banyan Tree), not conceived through the tree. While she was resting under the tree, a layer of cloud enveloped her while she conceived her three sons. The three sons being Ora (God/Spirit), Okhe (Tiger) and Omei (Man). Few kilometres from Makhel (Makhrai Rabu), there is another Sacred Wild Pear tree at Charangho (Shajouba) which the Mao people call as Chütebu Kajü, which is considered as the dispersal site for the Tenyimi tribes. Those tribes has erected their own monoliths, attesting that they indeed dispersed under Chütebu Kajü (Sacred Wild Pear Tree). There are even recent monoliths where different Naga tribes from Manipur and Nagaland erected under Chütebu Kajü, testifying by way of carving/printing there agreement they once dispersed from Makhel. The legend goes on to say that cutting or harming the branch of Chütebu is strictly prohibited. If a branch of Chütebu breaks, te whole Tenyimi tribes observe Genna and abstain from work. This is done by passing oral announcement. (Shown in the video where a raised platform only used by the King to announce gennas in both Makhel and Khezhakeno). The message is passed on from village to village orally. The monoliths erected by different tribes can be seeing by anyone who visits Chütebu Kajü at Charanghomei (Shajouba) village. Oral history brings about variation and slight difference of the sequence of story. But they do prove one thing, that we share a common history. But the present day political differentiation has divided is so much to an extent where we consider our real brothers as someone different. Sad reality.
As a child I use to read in Books that Angami’s origin was from Kezakenoma and today through your channel I’ve seen visually.I love this kind of Contents so good job 👍 Bro.And the beauty of the Nature is breathtaking ❤ I’ll spend hours in that green carpet hours overlooking the villages.
Sema's Chekhasang and Anagamis were Real brothers during their time of migration ,but after departing from Khezakheno Semas were not included in Tenyimi because of the political indifferences. Many villages in Northern Angami today still comprises of Semas and Angamis tribes together in one village , one such village is Gariphema .
@@handle_with-care778. Yeah... Very true , my grandfathers used to say Mao and Semas will be in need of each other in the future , so they say always make a healthy relationship with Mao brothers , which I always look forward to . 🤝
In nagaland the most interesting and historical village with unique style is gariphema village a village where 2 tribes sumi and angami co exist together since ancient times during the time of head hunting which is very unique. No one has made a documentary about this interesting village so bro i suggest you to explore and make a documentary and also interact with villagers.
Our forefathers tell us the story about this place that we all separate from this place and one stone that if we keep rice from that stone in morning it will become double in evening.
In MAKHEL also there is one place in the village area where if u kept one bag of rice in the morning it will be double in the afternoon but due to some reason the power was over .. 😢😢
Government of the day should spend any amount of money and beautify and preserve this village.had it been in other states,it would have been a famous tourist spot by now.(sic).
So good to see your back again bro . Indeed I am so grateful for introducing and expressing the real history our Naga villages. I like the way you tell the story.Keep going brother. 🎉
Very informative and presented so well brother. We need to know more of the Naga History. Please keep on exploring more of such places and upload them. Moreover, the place seems an ideal tourist spot. Better than Kisama. So pristine and beautiful. Just need to pave the footpath and some decorative trees.❤❤
🎉 Thanks for featuring... very interesting and impressive.!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 " Kewhi" : place. "Mia" : people. "Ra" : village/town/locality = Kewhira (locals still use this word, synonymous with Kohima). ✏️✏️✏️✏️✏️✏️✏️ 🎉🎉Join the first two words to "Kewhimia". 🎉🎉The Brits could not quite catch indigenous tongue and so labelled it as Kohima.😅😅😅 🎉🎉 Their description stuck as they chronicled in documents and reports. Also it sounds easier to all Nagas comprising of 16 major communities. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Let Kohima shine (with good roads😅☮️).
Thank you so much Brother for sharing our foredfather histoy, one of the most importand is that we tenyimia history, May God bless you, we will see another day,❤u.
If we don't know the history of our migration, let's ask and learn from our elders or resources available. Let us not distort or cook stories. Yes, we Nagas don't exactly know where we came from as we don't have script. Our history was passed down orally. So, during migration and with the passage of time, some might have forgotten and story became different. However, with Tenyimia's migration history, all Tenyimi brothers rested at Makhrai Rabu/ Makhel and then dispersed to various places where we are now. The Banyan Tree holds a very significant place in our history as it is believed to have grown on the Tomb of our Mother. You will see all Tenyimi brothers have Placed a stone with their tribe name scripted on it. There is a Sacred Wild Pear Tree (the dispersal tree), planted by our forefathers at Shajouba a village next to Makhel, that generations of Makhel will be known by paying reverence to it.
Khezakheno is not the Ancestral home of Nagas. It is Makhrai Rabu. The ancestors of Kheza migrated from Makhel. Majority of Nagas including those Nagaland traced their migration to Makhel and not Khezakheno
If Angami, Chakesang and Sema,s are brothers why do the keep fighting among themselfs and why no story preserve. May be they are jealousy of each others..
The divine weapon is very interesting at 2:35 ! Why no studies and investigation has been done yet ? But he sixth line on the banner should be changed to " It was the most mysterious weapon that was conceived ! "
You have to research further more, concluded by half knowledge should not be uploaded as you see, many comments section are not agree, all are saying they were migrated from maikhel..it is truth and fact, please go and research too in leshemi village and other neighbouring villages ,we are migrated from maikhel too🙏👍
Very sorry that Tenymie Nagas of Nagaland twist the historical facts tracing thier origin to Khezakhenoma. Southern Angamis migrated from Makhel and Shingafii Majority of Chakesang Villages traced thier migration to Makhel beside the Kheza group. Sumis tto to Makhel
bs most chakhesang and sumi migrated from angami village (particularly viswema and kigwema which is considered oldest village after coming out from makhel) chakhesang angami sumi these are basically same people just like Liangmai rongmei and zeme brothers
There were no other tribes other than sumi , angami and chakhesang in khezakeno village ,,,,,,,,, sumi and angami tribes were the only one migrated from khezakeno
Pochury part comes from linguistic group. A group left from Khezhakeno for hunting & got lost in an unknown thick jungle and they couldn't not find their way back to return to Khezhakeno. These people are called Sohomi (Soho mean hunting, mi means people) so they're called the hunting party that lost their way in search of resources. Sohomi village speaks a particular type of Rengma dialect & that is how Rengma migration traced their origin. And Pochury were called Eastern Rengmas (because Pochury dialect of Meluri has great similarity with Rengma dialect)
@@Appe_m The public in general leans towards accepting this account as a legend for our tribal origin due to the State Geo-political relation . But if we were to take into account of both linguistic as well as legends about one's origin, the legends of the immigration from Rengma community consist only of the Meluri and Lephori village, while the rest 30+ villages claim to have a different definition to one's origin.
@@dajonzhimtse0017 yes I am told that Pochury has many origins. Some from Sanphure (Sangtam) side, some from Phokhungri. Also Matikhrü village case is also interesting as it has origin from Chakhesang side with Khezha speaking people along with Pochury dialect. Would be interesting to study more on Pochury tribe and their many dialects.
The Khezhakeno story is that the descendants of Kozabomi (Khezhakeno) are from the great ancestor KOZA and his wife Kola-o. In Makhel story, the myth goes that the woman got pregnant from the clouds and gave birth. So their descendants are children of cloud and not of human because the father is CLOUD.
Don't try to distort history, get proper knowledge. Before, resting at Khezakeno, where did your forefather came from? Have you heard that your forefather, Koza stuck his stick at the wild pear tree and ask for direction? That place is at Upper Shajouba. That is the dispersal tree of the Tenyimi brothers. Where our forefathers will be remembered by paying reverence to it. But by going by your claimed, it shows that you Koza people came very late after the dispersal of Tenyimi brothers as that pearl tree was planted by our Tenyimi forethers when they dispersed. We are immediate neighbours to you and our elders told that you migrated from Makhel and on the way you even forget your language and learn your language from Bulbul. Even your next village Leshemi and others traced their origin to Makhel. How on earth, recently, the Tenyimi history started to change? Your lower khel or Kumlo people also came from a place called Kumuo nameipfii just few kilometres from your village to Mao below the mountain Solephe. Now the place has been claimed by Tungam. We have been with your elders since ages but have not heard of such stories from them.
@@ashsapriina7973 Stop denying what was just narrated. For your sake, let me quote the narrator, 'LONG AGO, THERE WAS A MOTHER. SHE CAME FROM THE UPPER SIDE AND TOOK SHELTER HERE. THE CLOUDS ENVELOPE HER AND SHE CONCEIVED THREE CHILDREN' unquote. You seem opposed to the narrator story and you have the audacity to alleged that I distorted. Watch the video AGAIN.
